After Demo Update 2 being a bit of a bumpy ride, along with three patches during this dev week, here comes Update 3 with way less potholes and new mechanics.
The main mechanics that were added over the course of the week were the new recovery mechanic which makes your riders lose in-stage recovery potential as you put it to maximum use - very similar to how Attack / Turn works, diminishing a point every time you go all out. This, coupled with the new time limit mechanic that disqualifies riders that finished outside a dynamic stage time limit, annihilates all recovery exploits that made stage races play very strangely. It also makes in-stage recovery a lot more interesting and tactical. So overall a big change for the better.

Demo Update 3 Fixes & Improvements
- Implemented time limits in tours
- Added team colours to the celebration screen
- Fixed tutorial crash that got reverted
- Fixed crash when attempting to calculate recovery in some instances
- Fixed recovery not diminishing more than once after using max recovery
This next week we are focusing on AI development and will finally implement some logic for the AI to have basic multi-stage effort planning and strategy. That should make stage races a lot more appealing and realistic in how they play out. Of course we will look at anything important needing to be fixed or otherwise in need of polish, too.
Cheers!
