Hey everyone,
I've been busy planning what content will go into v0009 for Weed County and I've decided to put three planned updates into one larger update. There's a couple reasons why making a larger update makes sense. The main reason is because the game will feel disjointed if some of these new features exist without some of the other features. I think they complement each other and make the gameplay fuller. The other reason is because it will remove save incompatibilities in future updates. v0009 will definetly not be compatible with previous saved games, sadly. But, the incompatibilities mean big changes to the core gameplay. Here are some of the features coming in update v0009.
New Real Estate
Pretty much everything will be purchasable by the player. Stores will allow the player to launder dirty cash and bring in some nice income. Residential homes will bring in income from rent. This is similar to how real estate works in the game currently, but there will be way more properties to buy. Over time, players will be able to earn substantial amounts of passive income from real estate as well as launder more dirty cash at a time.
Collecting Resources
There will be plants and other resources scattered around Weed County that can be gathered as ingredients for various "medicines".
New Products
You'll be able to collect resources and buy ingredients at the Gas Station to make new products like pot brownies. These products will vary in complexity and will be more valuable the more complex they are to make.
Deliveries
As your Respect level increases people around Weed County will start requesting some of your products. They pay premium price and is a great way to earn more dirty cash.
The Warehouse
Near your home will be a new location with an abandoned warehouse. You'll be able to buy the run down warehouse, purchase upgrades, and grow more weed. You'll also be able to hire help which will grow weed for you. In other areas of the warehouse you'll be able to mass produce dimebags, bricks, and other products to sell. This will be another great way to earn major amounts of dirty cash as you upgrade the warehouse.
Other Improvements
There will also be more GUI improvements, bug fixes, and quality of life fixes. More details will be revealed when the update is released with the full patch notes.
