Hello Climbers! Our team is working hard on implementing new things into the game, so it can have as much content for the release as possible! Right now we're working on adding the new mountain to the game - Cho Oyu.
Let us be your guide:
The sixth-highest mountain in the world at 8,188 meters (26,864 ft) above sea level, Its towering peak stands with Everest well above the surrounding mountains.
Cho Oyu is considered the easiest eight-thousander with the lowest death-summit ratio (1⁄25th of Annapurna's).
Don't let it fool you though, without the good preparations it can still be dangerous in real life, as well as in Climber: Sky is the Limit.
In-game map of the mountain:
A. Camp one, from here you start your way to the top.
1. The path leading to the second camp through the Ice tunnel on the left or on the right through a vertical Ice wall.
2. Steep, icy approach along the ridge leading to the second camp. Large exposure.
3. Flat terrain with crevasses. Exposure.
B. A convenient place to set up the second camp.
4. A steep slope, the route leads through rock shelves and chasms.
5. Dangerous area of falling stones.
6. Vertical climbing wall.
7. Icy traverse with a chasm on the left side, use of a rope Is recommended. Large exposure.
C. The last convenient place to camp. It is worth taking a break before entering the road leading to the top through the ridge.
8. Summit road. Moderately difficult in good weather, leading to high exposure. Finished with climbing with ice axes.
During the climb, you'll face:
- Multiple crevasses (new ladder mechanic, not available in the demo, incoming btw.!)
- Tall vertical climbing wall
- Falling rocks (New addition - BEWARE!)
- Opportunities for an ice ax climb. (new climbing animations!)
- And many more for you to uncover during your own expedition!
