Hello Steam Game Festival!
My name is Tim, AKA Frycandle out here on the internet, and I'm the solo game developer currently working on Imagine Lifetimes. After over four years of development, I'm excited to be a part of the Steam Game Festival as we make our way towards the full release in September of this year!
As physical showcases and conventions have been replaced by digital events like these, I'd love to make the most of this opportunity for us to get to know each other. I'll be readily available to answer any of your questions, you can tune in to the AMA event or shoot me a message at all times. I'd love to hear your honest opinions, thoughts, ideas and experiences on playing the game for the first time.
Any showcase wouldn't be a proper showcase without what they call the 'elevator pitch'. This is where developers try to pitch their game within a limited amount of time. So, let's pretend you're asking me to pitch the game to you at my imaginary convention booth... What would I tell you?
I think I'd say...
"Imagine Lifetimes is a satirical simulation game about the meaning of life. It's a point-&-click life sim where the choices you make define your path towards one of multiple, equally devastating endings."
If all that sounds appealing to you, come give it a go! :)
During the festival you'll be able to play the Imagine Lifetimes demo, dubbed the 'Early Edition' out here on Steam for a limited time. This 'Early Edition' build has been out on platforms like GameJolt for a while now, but I can't wait to finally share it out here and connect with the Steam community as well!
Note that the 'Early Edition' is more than a short demo, it's an accurate representation of what the final game will play like. The main game structure is complete, and it's about 50% content complete. The final release of the game will be dubbed the 'Deadly Edition', it'll contain 19 unique endings, main story line progression, path expansions, mini-game improvements and some brand new choices for you to make.
So, without further ado, have a wonderful Steam Game Festival!
