Hey Fellow Brewers!
Once again, it's been some time since the last update so I figured I'll fill you in on what's going on. Since Draught Kraft moved to a hobby state I've been working on it a little less these last few months, but that's not to say that it's sitting around getting all stale. During my free time I've been adding a little bit here and a little bit there and I have to say I'm pretty happy with the code base. I feel that every feature I put together is complete rather than just getting it finished. The main game loop is just about done. From cooking the ingredients to bottling, each bit of code has been tested and thoroughly checked for problems. The interaction feels more solid. I've supported text localization from the start so it's easy to play in your native language. One of the biggest things I've worked on is a workflow for mods. Every ingredient and all the equipment can be created outside the main source, meaning that anyone with some basic knowledge can implement their own content. A lot of what I've done isn't pretty, a lot is backend, and honestly most of it is "gray boxed" for now, but this forms the foundation of what will become a solid experience. Once the core game is concrete, I'll start on the look dev.
I want to say thanks to all those who have supported in the past and present, those who I talk to irl about brewing and game dev, and those who just show even a slight interest in this project. I hope to show more soon and I hope you'll enjoy it.
Happy Brewing!
