Hey Fellow Brewers!
This one deals with all things big and small! There's some bug fixes and minor changes, also there's now weather and seasons!
Changes:
-Added seasons based on quarters
-Added weather, each season has its own weather patterns
-Player can now convert inside location to outside or vice versa after expanding to that location
-Background color changes with weather, time of day, and season
-Expanding location sounds
-Added grids for placing equipment, walls, and location details
-Equipment will break if created/left outside
-Ambient sounds such as birds, wind, and rain
-New wall and floor texture content
-Added Ambient Occ. and Motion Blur settings
Bug Fixes:
-Build smoke particles now show when building equipment
-Selected equipment will be removed when exiting equipment mode
-Selected location detail will be removed when exiting location mode
-Shipment will be placed correctly in loading zone when loading zone has been upgraded
-Fixed issue where only enlisted contracts would show
Known Issues:
-Joe still slides from time to time, I'll try and deal with this with the A.I. update
-Some sounds don't pause when in location edit mode
-Sometimes there is an error when you order too much and your loading zone is crowded (I'm still trying to tackle this one, but seems to be very elusive. Just don't overcrowd your loading zone for now)
So I guess this will be the time to finally move onto the employee system. I'll post more about it soon. But basically I want to make employees more useful. Some ideas involve redoing the leveling system so it's skill type based. Say an employee levels up, you can put a skill point into cleaning, now that employee is slightly faster at cleaning. Another idea I have is a task system. The basic idea is that you'll "record" your employee and then you'll be able to assign that that "recorded" task back to any other employee. This will make recipes easier. There's a whole bunch of ideas and issues that I'll do a post about in the future.
One last thing is PR. I wrote about the difficulties of this before. Its been a fine balance of PR, game dev, and business stuff. But I've been sending out more key's to reviewers and Steam Curators. Quite a few have been claimed. So we'll see how much the word gets out. But as I've said in the past, if you know anyone that might want to check out Draught Kraft, drop a comment below or tweet @Vertnacular. The more support this game has, the more I can make it live up to its full potential!
Happy Brewing!
