Hey Fellow Brewers!
So this week I've been working really hard on the employee automation system. I've created a task system that allows you to create a step by step job that your employee can complete. I don't have a lot to show as most of the actions have been hot keyed for testing purposes. But I can tell you that it's going to be a great addition to the game! You'll be able to create a job, assign it to your employee, then sit back and watch them go! I feel this will make thing a bit less tedious for repetitive tasks but will allow the player to explore more of the game as the automation is going on.
I also can't help myself but I keep getting sidetracked with some quality of life things. I just added an object highlight when you mouse over an object. This hints to the new players what can be selected. It's a nice little feature that adds a tiny bit of polish.

I also wanted to show off the end of day screen. I completely reworked how contracts operate and I figured that the player should know exactly what goes into their ranking.

And finally on my side quest journey, I also added names to the competitions and enlisted contracts. Just like the weekly contracts, these names are randomly generated. This gives some great names like "The Great Carbonation Showdown" for competitions and "Hairy Dog Brewery" for enlisted contracts.
On a business side of things, things have slowed down quite a bit. I've given out a number of keys to reviewers. But admittedly it's a bit disheartening to see the number of activations vs the number of actual reviews. Oddly, the number of wishlists keep going up. I don't know, I'm still figuring out this promotional thing. I'll keep giving out review copies to those who ask but for now I'll just focus on the game development. Maybe people are waiting for the next update? And if you're a reviewer reading this, I'd say you're really going to like the next update! Things are really coming together and it's still in early early development!
That's all for now. I'll try and have something for next week, and maybe 0.3.0 will be out early October?
Happy Brewing!
