We decided to summarize the first wave of closed playtest, make a couple of announcements and share our immediate plans with you.
First of all, thank you everyone! We gave access to 7504 players, 1966 of them killed the Octoboss, and they did it 4180 times! "King of the hill" truly became hell for hardcore players, which doesn't make it less enjoyable! Don't feel bad though if you can't make it into the top 100 - it is difficult even for myself at this point. ːdespotː
At the moment player "juippifrederik" is ranked first, "Nyek " and "Rousty06" are second and third. But you could still push them down! ːdespotflipː
We organized discussions in Steam somewhat: there are places to report bugs and to give additional feedback. Still, it is best to fill the dedicated form: https://forms.gle/1QXxHbNHYk1rD5jT8
Rather unexpectedly, we encountered many cheaters. We are tired of removing their results out of "King of the hill" database and will filter them out preemptively in the future. Cheaters are removed several times a day, so it is possible for you to move higher in the leaderboard by the time other players see it. We don't ban players who hack the game for now, but be warned that we may block those who cheated while assembling their team from accessing "King of the hill".
As you may have seen we made several small updates in the last few days. We constantly fix bugs and will be doing it going forward, thank you for the bug reports! Some non-blocking errors may take more time to fix, please be patient with us, we do all we can.
The balance is far from perfect at the moment. There are many things we would like to change. On January 25th we will announce the winners of season zero, make some balance changes, wipe the leaderboard and increase its size from 100 to 500. The next season will last till February 2nd.
There is still much work to do, a lot of content and many new mechanics to add. Keep an eye on our news!
