Hello survivors.
The first update for Derange is now live on Steam. This update includes some minor tweaks to the combat system (laying the foundation for more comprehensive changes further down the line) and some fixes to bugs and issues identified by the community.
The update includes the following changes:
- The timing window for pressing the attack button has been increased. You can now press the button at any point while the "!" prompt is on screen to successfully trigger your attack.
- The Baseball Bat now has a hit chance of 100%. This is intended to make melee combat a viable option for dispatching enemies, if still inferior to gunplay. The Knife and Meat Cleaver remain unchanged at 50%.
- You can now reload a gun without having to wait for it to run out of bullets first. Be careful though - any bullets left in the old magazine will be permanently lost!
- An issue which would prevent the entry of an employee's name in the Archive Room has been fixed.
- A rare crash which would occur when playing certain sound files has been fixed.
