Today, we're releasing V1.01. There are two significant changes to mention:
Save Slots
Rather than just a single Autosave, you can now manually save your game to three different save slots. So, if you're worried about a particular battle or just want to check out different conversation options, feel free to make a save! You can save anywhere on the field, and can load from the Title Screen.
And don't worry, Autosave is still there in a reserved slot.
If you're updating from the launch version, this update will create a new save file based on your autosave in Slot 1. The time played stat will be set to 0 — since we weren't actually tracking this until now.
Combat Difficulty
We've heard from many players that the first boss encounter can be pretty tough. We had another look and agree. We've changed an attack that could disable both players to target only one at a time. And we've adjusted their resistance to the Exposure mechanic.
We think these changes will make this first fight a lot more accessible and give you a clearer chance to engage with the combat system. If you do still have trouble, Sausage will also give you a useful tip right before you fight them again.
There are a number of other small fixes in this update, but those are the big two! Thanks for playing — we look forward to hearing from more players!
