Hello there, 👋🏻
We’re back with something exciting for StellarX: version 2.0.0 of the web portal! 🥳
New Features 💫
The Sketchfab Importer ⬇️
With this new feature, StellarX users will be able to search and import 3D models from the Sketchfab store, right into their Asset Hub — without ever leaving the Web Portal page.
To do so, just follow the following steps:
- Log in to the StellarX web portal
- Go to the ‘My asset’ section
- Click on ‘+’
- Select Sketchfab
- Log in to Sketchfab
- Search for the 3D model you wish to include in your StellarX spaces
- Select the 3D model
- Click on ‘Import’
Voilà! The 3D model is now uploaded, and downloadable inside your StellarX collections!
Please note that this feature currently has a few limitations:
- Available only for free downloadable models
- Available only for files in gLTF format
- Maximum of 50 download requests per 24 hour period
- 10MB maximum file size for importation
- Requires a Sketchfab account
Improvements 👍🏾
- Support for standalone GLTF assets uploads
- Validation of asset files, and missing references for GLB and GLTF asset uploads
Bug fixes 🐞
- Many improvements, bug fixes, and UI fixes were also brought to the Web Portal in this update
Explore the new and improved Web Portal now, and elevate your XR projects with StellarX and SketchFab.
Cheers,
- The StellarX Crew ✨
