Dear rebels, We, the Gray Zone Team, as well as you - our brave protectors of freedom and peace, have fought hard battles. And for the right cause, no doubt. After all, we are in this together, aren't we? With this short [not really] announcement, we'd like to inform you about some important changes concerning the date of a full release.
What has changed
Brand new tutorial mission: Play as The Union!
We've decided to create a completely new 'Tutorial/Intro' mission where you play as our antagonist - wait for it - The Union. What we are talking about is a 'bigger' mission where the most basic and advanced mechanics of the game will be explained in detail.
Why tutorial mission?
Entire available feedback and player experience that we have at our disposal has been considered. Clearly, most players are not aware of all the capabilities that the Gray Zone offers. There are situations, where the player knows about a certain feature but doesn't know how to properly utilize it, which is a problem. In another scenario the player is not aware of the feature at all which is even worse.
The Gray Zone offers quite complex system and AI. The 'Tutorial' mission will allow us to properly introduce and explain everything necessary. This will also allow us to remove the tiny bits of tutorial from the story mode, which will increase the dynamics of the game flow.
Of course, Covid situation and scarce resources impact the development process and the release date delay as well. We've been negotiating with investors for the last few months and it is on the right track.
