Happy New Year!
2020 is going to be a fabulous year. Why is that? Mystic Hammer is going to release in 2020! I wanted to keep you updated on the progress from thee last post. As you can see, I already tackled down a few items on the immediate list. Here is patch 41 which I released today. Stay tuned for more!
Version 41
- Revamped the ranged units attack system so that it will attempt to fire at what is alive in front of it rather than ensuring it is officially in it’s lane. (This will fix the bug where sometimes units stop firing at an enemy).
- Changed defender leveling system to now give defenders XP when they hit an enemy with both melee and projectiles. This will make it so that your units aren’t battling for the killing shot all the time!
- Level up Particle Effects!! Makes it obvious who to click when you want to pay to level a unit.
- Introducing the Necromancer - Speaks a chant of an unknown language to case evil spells. (Voice added) - Has an ability to raise the undead.
- Speech Bubble system introduced. (Not tutorial system).
- Speech Bubble can now have it’s text, color, and duration set.
- Necromancer sounds added.
- Skeleton sounds added.
- Fixed a bug where your health would drop out of no where causing unfairness!
- Added a system for speech audio and tagging.
- Added a system for specifying which lane a boss spawns in.
- Fixed a long standing bug where sometimes the level would not end. Now safeguards in place to ensure it ends when the timers are over and all enemies are defeated as it should be.
- Fixed a bug where something was not alive but still being asked to take life away. If the health ends up below 0, it will destroy the enemy.
- Fixed issue where sometimes resurrected units will become unhittable and walk through your defenders.
- Level 15 is added!
- Fixed bug where sometimes enemies wouldn’t spawn in lane. Fixed bug where slimes and Skeletons were not giving unit EXP correctly.
- Fixed a bug wheresometimes bosses would decide not to spawn at all! (Not so fast! 😉 )
- Fixed UI issue where Boss Wave wasn’t being labelled as such.
