Hello, guys!
As game developers, we are trying to create projects that our players will like and that will make their life a little better. Yet, it would have been even better if our posts helped us make the world a better place, not only for the people but also for the animals. Today, we want to draw your attention to a not very well-known holiday - the Penguin Awareness Day, which is celebrated on 20 January every year.
The mission of Penguin Awareness Day is to increase awareness of climate change and protect the diminishing population of pinguins.
Today, we have a great opportunity to learn more about these wonderful creatures and how climate change affects their very existence. You could watch some movies or cartoons about penguins together with your children, like Surf' Up, Happy Feet or The Pebble And The Penguin.
You can always use the #PenguinAwarenessDay hashtag to draw attention to this issue and help spread the information about it.
Our games have little to do with penguins, but we have found one line from Strategic Mind: Blitzkrieg that actually has penguins in it. Although it seems that Hitler had poor "penguin awareness", or rather saw them as a real threat.
This is inconceivable! Two of the Reich’s finest Generals could not handle some sorry band of Brits and Australians. You were to bring me a swift and decisive victory. Instead, the enemy has driven you back and continues to advance! I am assuming direct command of our troops in North Africa. You will soon witness my strategic genius in its pure, uncompromising glory! As for you and Rommel, pack your warm socks. You are both hereby reassigned to our base in New Swabia. Hopefully, you can handle protecting our northern reaches from penguins! (с) Hitler in Strategic Mind: Blitzkrieg
