Greetings, survivors!
Today we'd want to talk with you about the best buildings for placing the base in Zelter.
After reviewing all the possible buildings for a potential base, we identified the 5 best ones.
But before you see the list, I'd like to introduce you to the map made by ᴍᴇᴇᴘꜱᴇɴᴘᴀɪ.
The map is almost complete and quite detailed. We will be guided by it in the future. Thank you, Ren!
1. The very first building on your way
Of course, one of the best buildings to build a base will be the very first building that you will meet in the game.
PROS:
- Location The building is located far from the city center, in the forest, surrounded by many trees, so the zombies will visit you quite rarely. And as far as we all know, wood is vital in Zelter, so it is a huge plus to be able to go outside and pick up some twigs from the trees.
- Safety The base is surrounded by trees and a large fence, with only one passageway to the base. Block this passage with traps, and consider yourself safe. Block this passage with traps, and consider yourself safe.
- Large space If you need space for buildings, vegetable gardens, traps, and tents, this base is most suitable.
- Bed There is a bed in the building, so you do not have to spend resources on building one.
- Water source There is a sink with which you will have unlimited access to water.
CONS:
- One floor One floor isn't enough if you want to build a cozy nest.
- Emptiness Lack of furniture, decor elements, soft toys. The building is completely empty, so if you're attracted to beautiful fillings, this is clearly not the place for you.
- Location As you have already understood, this location works both as a plus and as a minus. The disadvantage is that you will have to run far into the city to extract all resources, except for the woods.
2. The second building on your way
The construction is also one of the best for building a base.
PROS:
- Two floors This is the first building you face with two floors. The advantage is that you will have more space in comparison with the first house.
- Inner fullness A lot of decorative elements, soft toys, furniture. Also, in this building, you will find the first boxes with valuable loot inside.
- Bed Also, there is a sofa in the house on which you can sleep and rest.
- Water source The presence of a bathroom in the house provides an unlimited water resource.
- Location The building is located at the city entrance, so you don't have to spend a lot of time moving around. Also, this is one of the closest bases to the forest, so you cannot spend so much time on a run for branches.
- Safety The base is completely fenced and has only two passageways, leading to the forest wilderness and the second to the city. Basically, most zombies will only come from the city, so building up the passage with traps will not be a problem for you.
CONS:
- External space Compared with the first base, there is clearly not so much space for a vegetable garden, setting up an external camp, etc. Although, of course, you can continually expand this base and go beyond the borders. But it will be much more dangerous.
- Safety In the case of this base, the security point can be viewed from two sides. It has a reasonably good location, but it can not be called entirely safe since it's very close to the city, and zombies should visit you more often in any case than, for example, at the first base in the forest.
3. Police Station
PROS:
- Two floors The police station has two floors.
- Inner space It is probably the largest building in the game. With lots of rooms, cells, doors, etc. The best base in terms of its size.
- Bed The building has several places to sleep, so this will not be a problem.
- Water source As in any regular police department, there are sinks, toilets.
- Doors The station doors aren't wooden but metal, which can also help prevent zombies from getting inside.
- Prison cells There is a room that you won't find in other buildings, namely a prison cell. How to use it is a matter of your imagination.
- Safety The police station is entirely surrounded by a large fence, which the zombies can not break, and has only one passage.
CONS:
- Location The building is located in the lower right corner of the map, and it is not so easy to get to it alive. Besides, many zombies live in those places, so beginners without proper equipment should not go there. Also, you probably gonna have a lot of problems with the trees. There is no land around the building that can be plowed and planted with food.
- Safety From the above, you have already realized that the building will not be so easy to recapture, but secondly, it will not be a simple task to defend it after.
4. Upper left building
PROS:
- Two floors This is the first building on your way with two floors.
- Inner fullness A lot of decorative elements, soft toys, furniture, loot boxes.
- Bed There is a sofa inside the building.
- Water source The presence of a bathroom in the house provides an unlimited water resource.
- Location The building is in the upper left angle of the map near the city and a park with many trees. Also, this place is quite atmospheric, with a stunning park nearby. Also, there is a lot of space for construction and agriculture around the building.
CONS:
- Safety Getting to this place will not be an easy task. There will be a massive number of zombies on the way to the base. There are three approaches to this base, and hordes of zombies are located on the roads very close by. Therefore, beginners definitely should not consider this place as a first base.
5. Cafe 'Qeenly'
PROS:
- Two floors The cafe also has two floors.
- Water source There are several bathrooms.
- Inner fullness A large amount of furniture, flowers, and even some adorable soft toys.
- Location The building is located in the city, so you will not experience any problems with iron pieces.
CONS:
- Bed There is no bed in this building, so you will need to craft your own one.
- Location There is mostly only a road around the building, so you won't build a vegetable garden right next to the house. Plus, the building is located far from the forest, in the city, so you will likely experience some problems with the tree.
- Safety Zombies can get close to the building from all sides, which is definitely not its good side.

So for beginners, we recommend taking into account only the first two buildings for the base. And avid players will definitely like the police station or the building in the upper left corner!
