As we said before, we'd like to make Bus World better than any our games. In order to achieve this, the decision was made to move to the new renderer: HDRP. It was created specifically for ambitious projects with high level of detail. The difference between Built-In (the default Unity renderer which we used before) is noticeable: the picture looks much more "alive" thanks to the new renderer. Take a look at the screenshots which we took in Editor, without anti-aliasing: also, we'd be able to use volumetric lighting.
However, this is a big challenge for our team. It's not that easy to make it as we have to work with new tools and learn how to use them. It's about making night/day cycle, mirrors and plants from scratch. This requires quite a lot of time, and we don't want our game to be released in a buggy state, so we have to postpone the release date to 2021. We'll announce the more accurate release date when we're ready.
