Here are license plates for buses and traffic cars. On Soviet buses available on Chernobyl map, Soviet license plates will be installed. They are black with cyrillic symbols which don't have analogues in Latin aplhabet, unlike modern Russian ones. Note that rear plate is more squared. КХ letters stand for the region - Kievskaya Oblast, Ukrainian SSR.

The Chinese map is set in Hainan province. All buses and traffic cars here have Chinese license plates, which is obvious. Plates for cars are blue; front and rear plates don't differ in size. Plates for buses, however, are yellow, and rear plates are more squared, just like USSR plates.
琼 means Hainan Province, and the next letter stands for the region. For example, A is the biggest city in the province called Haikou.
