So what can you expect and when?
The Shanghai Uprising Demo
For the first Demo, we plan to unveil only a small part of the game system.
We've selected the Shanghai 1927 Uprising for its tense background and dramatic outcome.
Imagine:
The internal struggle and the communists and the different factions of the Guomindang is at its height as a powerful National Revolutionary Army approaches Shanghai.
In the city itself, the warlord forces are quickly losing the support of the merchants and the working class is ready to launch an uprising to welcome the Revolutionary forces.
The Green Gang and the foreign powers are worrying for their business and ploting with every other faction to maintain their situation...
That could be fun, don't you think so?
Such a demo won't display cool game mechanics like Province management, diplomacy or military expeditions, but uprising planning is rich enough in the "Rise of the White Sun" system to be a game on its own, so we are sure you will have fun.
That demo will be multiplayer, so you can team with friends to overthrow the warlord.
When? Well... we are progressing fast, so I would say january or February 2022.
The eary access for June (hopefully)
What can you expect in the early access?
We plan to deliver the 1926-1929 years, simulating the whole northern expedition. You would be able to play with most of the warlords, the GMD and the Communists.
Province management, military operations, diplomacy, uprisings and subversive activities... All that will be in the game by then.
While in early access, we plan to add (may be not in this order):
-the 1925 Hong Kong strikes
-the warlord wars prior and after the Northern Expedition
The maximum period we will eventually cover is 1911-1949 (that only if enough players are interested by the game) and the minimum one is 1925-1931.
