TLDR:
- Four new NPCs: Three settlers and one who visits Honkertown every third day and sells animals.
- Mines. You can now build mines which basically gives you endless dungeons if you so wish.
- New mini-area. You can now find very small but sometimes very rich mini-areas in certain dungeons, basically ore or coal veins.
- Farm animals: hens and chicken.
- Gates, mainly for controlling your farm animals.
- New grand building - two story brick house.
- Improved ranged combat. You can now load while moving and fire right away once loaded, allowing for way more fun and quick paced ranged combat.
- Carpets, allowing for interior decoration. Works like the shovel.
- Stone cairns, allowing you to mark locations on your mini map.
- Brew wine to make money.
- All 99 stacks are now raised to 100, and 499 to 500. Glass is raised to 500 instead of 99.
- Caro sells copper, iron and steel bars.
- You now start where you log out. I tried playing it this way and found it way better. You can quick your game and pick up where you left, teleport potions are much more valuable and you can no longer restart-to-go-home-exploit, which I often had to resist myself.
- Quality of life equip: Shift clicking on an item in your inventory will now move it to the first empty belt slot (1-10).
- Removal of terrain obstacles. You can now craft a Fireacid potion, which allows you to remove rough terrain, like boulders, holes and dead trees. This is mainly to allow you to expand your settlement, not to to open new passage between areas.
- In total 28 new items added, many listed above.
- Five new achievements.
- Minor additions and improvements.
Some additional info:
This patch mainly aims to improve the quality of the non-mining/non-adventuring aspects of the game. You will be able to make more money through your settlement and the new NPC:s will sell many of resources which might be tedious to always go on a hunt for. You can buy animals from Gertrude, an NPC which will arrive every third day at the docks in Honkertown. There will be a sign there telling you this.
The ranged combat system is now way more fun, if I may say so. You will now notice an icon under the player which shows if your weapon is loaded or not, and you will see the reload progress as long as your attack is ranged one. Since you now reload even when moving, you can kite enemies and quickly hip fire.
As always, thank you so very much for your support and feedback, I really hope you enjoy this patch =)
Next big patch will be one area: A1, but it will be one big dungeon and very dangerous dungeon which I think will be really fun to explore with a lot of cool new gears and weapons.
Best wishes//Mattias
PS: A special thanks to Pernilla and Tobias for their great feedback!
