Pre-season 2 has started
The second Slapshot Rebound season is under way! All ranks have been reset and placement matches will need to be played to gain a rank again. Everyone that has qualified for rewards will have received the sticks and titles for the rank they peaked at and for all the ranks below it.
Season Pass
You voted, we listened. With an overwhelming 90%+ of you voting yes, slappers wanted to see our season pass concept in the game so we've added it! We've created it in a way that's consumer friendly and has something for everyone in it, including a generous free track and no expiration date. The pro track can be activated with the same in-game currency you earn by playing for free (and you get it all back by leveling up the pass). There's 56 brand new cosmetics to unlock 😄
Challenges
Along with the pass, we've added challenges to Slapshot. You get 4 every day that you can complete for pass experience. Pro track players get a 10% experience boost, which stacks with the 10% boost from premium. There's no negative effects for missing days or not completing all of the challenges, so you can play in a way that's fun for you and not feel like you have to play every day.
Holiday season
The locker room has been decorated to get in the holiday spirit! You'll unlock a free holiday cosmetic when logging in between December 20th and December 27th. A free New Year's cosmetic will be unlockable when logging in between December 31st and January 6th.
The Chicago Blackhawks are coming to Slapshot!
We've been talking to the Blackhawks and they agreed to have their team brand in Slapshot! More information on this soon 😄
Other changes
- Gave the top bar of the main menu a small facelift
- Added the winners of the loading screen contest to the game
- Fixed an issue where you couldn't play the game when completely disconnected from the internet but with Steam open
- Added the goalie cosmetic set for January's Patreon
- Added a variant to the bone stick that allows you to change its colors with your stick base and tape colors
