Sleepers,
The very first building contest for Dune: Awakening is over and we are simply blown away by the participation!
Thousands of you joined in the fun, sharing buildings into which you clearly put so much heart, time, and effort. We’ve watched your videos and checked your screenshots and read the backstories you shared – even though that wasn’t required to participate!
Selecting winners among all of these amazing buildings was incredibly challenging. We’ve had long deliberations and a lot of back-and-forth. While all participants are winners in our hearts, we ultimately had to select the ones that we thought did the best based on our criteria. We’ve also expanded our Honorary Mentions size to include more of you!
If your building isn't featured here, don't be afraid to post it on social media, our Discord server, the subreddit, and elsewhere if you haven't already! If you are featured here, we will be reaching out to you about your prizes. If you submitted through Pimp My Dune and have won, you will receive an email within the week. If you won elsewhere, you will receive a DM from the official Dune: Awakening account. Special thanks to Lent for supporting the contest through their website, as well as Madrinas for sponsoring the runner up prize!
We've listed the first place winners here, but to see the runner ups and many honorable mentions, please go to our blog!
First Place Winners
Our first place winners will be receiving the LEGO Ornithopter as well as the Atreides Battle Rifle skin. We've added their descriptions when one was included, as well as a link where you can see more photos and/or videos of their amazing creations.
Choam
"A trade center run by CHOAM mercantiles. It has two watch tower's, one at the peak of the center to watch for incoming sand storms in the distance. And another on the ground to watch for sand worms attacking from below. It's unique pyramid shape helps protect the building from high winds and sand erosion over the years. Attached is a visitor center, for people to relax while doing their trade business deals." - Saphiria, Pimp My Dune
Harkonnen
"It was built and altered, piece by piece, over a many years and through many conflicts . It has been a factory, it has been a smuggler's post, it has been a church. It might still be all these things or none of these things." - Fiefie, Pimp My Dune
Atreides
"The Windchime Monastery, working as a school for the Atreides, houses a vast knowledge from the ways of combat to the ancient history of the great houses. One could say topping even the Imperium's prestiged schools.
The school has four buildings, Main Dormitory (tallest tower), Main Library (second tallest tower), Watch Tower (second shortest tower), and Main Lecture Hall (shortest tower), with an outside dining balcony.
"For every student graduated, shall one wind chime be hung" - Principal
A tradition of the school meant to bring good fortune for each graduate parting ways." - Jorua, Pimp My Dune
