Hello Community!
This is the first of the planned Dev Logs in which you will find lots of info about Gloria Victis: Siege and its unique approach, Behind-The-Scenes materials and much more. We’ll do our best to post the journal every Thursday, so stay tuned! Today’s topic:
What makes Gloria Victis: Siege such a unique experience?
At its base, Gloria Victis: Siege is an experience of surviving an invasion of a medieval castle. We want you to feel the terror when you see the enemy forces assaulting the walls. We want you to feel the weight of choices you’re about to make. We want you to go through the hardships of a complete lockdown – although we’re all getting this one in a kind of AR experience these days.
in short, we want you to think about how to survive.

We want you, the player controlling a group of civilians, to experience how hard might it be to fulfill the most basic needs, such as finding edible food or fresh water in the city ruins when your supplies go low. You’ll have to wisely manage your wood, which you can use as a fuel. And since we’re talking about middle ages, you’ll have to face the lack of fridges, and yet to do your best preserve food.
There’s also one important aspect: the mood of your survivors. They’ll have to walk together with the very last soldiers holding the castle. Even though the defenders are often friends or relatives to remaining civilians, there will be times when you’ll have to make sacrifices. Otherwise, neither will survive – but we’ll talk about it next week.
Stay tuned!
