That when the dust settled and Steam Game Festival Summer Edition is already behind us, we have another news to share. We’ve changed the “Ars Fabulae” title, to "The Last Show of Mr. Chardish". And we’ve established a cooperation with an indie-focused publisher - Hydra Games! This Warsaw-based company, where you can find true game enthusiasts, is going to support us in this home stretch of development, taking care of all the publishing & marketing stuff.

Okay, but why actually we’ve dropped “Ars…”? Well, together with Hydra Games guys we came to the conclusion that “The Last Show of Mr. Chardish” better reflects the core of the game and the gameplay. Its story-driven approach, and the role of Robert Chardish, who is a nonplayable, but very present character, when it comes to the game’s structure and narration. Moreover, changing the title of the game is an answer to the voice of our community as well. After the Steam Game Festival, where we shared a demo version, we received a lot of questions from our followers. They asked what “Ars Fabulae” actually means and how to pronounce correctly the title. That, and some additional research, convinced us to create the new name for our beloved project.
As you probably know (or as you can figure it out by the new title and game’s theme), we’re heavily inspired by What Remains of Edith Finch. Awed by the various gameplay mechanics and the feelings the game invoked, we decided to rise to the challenge and combine genres by designing mechanics meaningful to the story, in order to give the player something more than mere amusement.
Follow our social media (Facebook & Twitter, Steam Community Group) and add the game to the Wishlist - there are a lot of new things on the way!
Best regards,
Punk Notion & Hydra Games
