Hello there,
first of all, I'd like to thank everyone who decided to nominate Card Hog in Steam Awards and/or left their review during the sale event. It was awesome reading them all!
Meanwhile, I listened to your feedback and rolled out a bunch of sneaky updates. Here's what was new in them!
Hog Z
- Added a bandit NPC
- Shotguns now deal double damage to zombies
- Lasso can tie up enemies stunning them for a single turn
- Mushrooms now always spawn at night, but can be poisonous
- Various deck and balance changes

Major Things
- Bean upgrades can be toggled
- Added gamepad support in multiplayer modes
Toggling upgrades should help out new players and create a less frustrating experience overall. Veterans can use this feature to increase the difficulty until I'll add more gameplay settings and allow turning off all upgrades easily.
Other Things
- Gamepad thumbstick (only left for now) can be used to control the game
- Gamepad shoulders can be used to trigger card inspection
- Hog Z: removed coin counter
- Hog Z: Changed "day 0" to "day 1"
- Added a share button in game over menu
- Print Screen button now triggers Steam screenshot
- Fixed mushroom caps not doing any damage
- Fixed effect indicators appearing one turn too late
- Fixed glitchy poison damage indicator
- Fixed crash while leaving duel mode
- Fixed "Iron Snout" achievement
- Fixed player getting stuck in certain animation
- Fixed startup logo animation glitches
- Added more information to crash popups
- Hopefully fixed rare crash in interface controls
- Hopefully fixed attack-skill related crash
- Multiple room layout and UI improvements in tutorial
- Highlighting door when it's unlocked
- Highlighting available movement options
- Changed visuals for Spikes card
- Changed visuals for Wolf card
- Changed a few interface visuals
That's about it! Have any issues or suggestions? What's in your Card Hog Christmas wish list? Let me know!
Cheers!
SnoutUp
