Hi there!
It's been a while since the last update. I'm still pushing towards the Early Access with a fun and playable alpha version. I reworked a lot during the last months and finally, most of the architecture problems are solved. Now I'm improving (and adding) the actual gameplay and content - tasks and orders for your survivors, different buildings, AI behavior. There are even some game design iteration with balancing and playtesting :D
Overall, everything is a bit slow, but moving forward. I'm planning to launch early access as soon as possible. My last planned date was December 10, but now it's overlapping with Cyberpunk 2077, so I'll move it further. But still, I'm glad that you are still subscribed to project updates and even keep it in the wishlist. I'm doing my best with Project Apocalypse (well, with a full-time crunch-mode job, at least) and I'm waiting to show you the results. It's still a very long journey to the finished product, but I think it's close to being (kinda) fun and playable as an early access version.
Finally, I started to update the Facebook group with regular posts and screenshots. Feel free to subscribe: https://www.facebook.com/pg/NearlyGamedev/posts/ - but I think I'll be making ~weekly steam devblogs from it.
Here are some random screens from my screenshot folder:

A bit old, but close to the current state of the game. A bit darker environment.

Testing the new farm logic. The food grown is visualized.

Infected Horde attack.

That's just from today, I removed all the temporary assets from the game level and replanted the forest.
So, I hope I'll be able to show you some actual gameplay in the next devlog. Stay tuned and thank you!
