Ossu,
We can hardly believe it – in just one week, JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be in your hands. What started as a dream shared by a small but passionate team is now about to hit the road. Before the engines roar and tires screech on launch day, we wanted to take a moment to reflect and highlight what makes our project stand out in the world of racing games.
An Open World Set in Japan
For years, players have dreamed of an open-world racing experience set in the heart of Japan — and we’re delivering just that. From neon-lit city streets to misty mountain passes, JDM lets you explore a living, breathing world inspired by Japanese culture, car communities, and landscapes. Cruise, drift, race, or just enjoy the scenery – it’s up to you.
Deep Mechanical & Visual Tuning
Whether you’re a garage wizard or just want your ride to look the part, JDM gives you a massive range of customization options.
- Tune every performance detail
- Change bumpers, spoilers, rims, bodykits, and more
Build a car that reflects your style — and dominates the streets.
Check our Deep Dives into tuning if you’ve missed them previously:
Licensed JDM Legends
We’re proud to feature officially licensed cars from iconic Japanese manufacturers, including:
Nissan, Mazda, Honda, and Subaru. Each car has been recreated with care and attention to detail. If you grew up dreaming of these cars, or still do, you’ll feel right at home.
A Manga-Inspired Story Mode
Drift battles and heartfelt moments – JDM tells its story like no other racing game: through hand-drawn manga panels. Meet unique characters, rise through the underground racing scene, and uncover a narrative that blends arcade thrills with anime-style storytelling.
Multiple Event Modes
Get ready for a variety of racing challenges:
- Drift: Precision and angle are king
- Grip: Master the racing line
- Drag: Straight-line speed, timed to perfection
Whether you prefer style or speed, there’s something here for every kind of racer.
Immersive Side Missions
Beyond the main events, you’ll find plenty of reasons to stay on the road:
- Deliver sushi under pressure
- Take part in underground illegal races
Choose Your Driving Style
Not everyone plays the same way, and that’s why JDM gives you a choice:
- Simcade for more realistic car behavior and nuanced control
- Arcade for a more accessible feel, focused on fun
Whether you're a veteran drifter or just here for the ride, you can tailor the driving experience to suit your comfort and skill level.
Final Countdown
This is it. One more week, and we open the gates to Guntama Prefecture. We’re nervous. We’re excited. But above all, we’re grateful to have you on this journey with us.
We truly hope JDM: Japanese Drift Master brings you the thrill and freedom you’ve been waiting for.
