This is the first patch for Not For Broadcast.
We only launched last Thursday so, as I’m sure you can imagine, it’s been quite a week for us!
We are thrilled with the response and all the amazing news reviews (apparently we’re Overwhelmingly Positive, which isn’t bad for a group of grumpy cynics) and we are listening to all your suggestions and taking them on board.
Pre-production for “Episode 2” has begun and we have a heap of surprises planned for you along the way.
There’s only a couple of new features in this patch but hopefully they’ll deal with two of the most requested things on the forums and in the reviews:
- You can now delete your saved games, and we are working hard to fix the issue with stuttering videos and people experiencing video lag.
- As a first attempt to solve this problem you can now reduce the TV video resolution to “Half” in the options menu. While this will not solve the problem for everyone, it should alleviate it for some. We are working hard on this and are determined to get the game running smoothly for as many people as possible!
WINDOWS 7 USERS EXPERIENCING VIDEO PROBLEMS: We hear you! We’re pouring all of our (severely limited) expertise and intelligence into working out why you’re experiencing video issues. We hope to have a fix for you really soon. Experts have been summoned. Theories are being tested and many thoughts are being thunk.
Here’s the short (but perfectly formed) list of wondrous embellishments:
New Features:
• There is now the option to play the game with half resolution videos.
• Save games can now be deleted.
Bug fixes:
• Play advert buttons incorrectly unlocking during headlines fixed.
• English subtitles incorrectly appearing when playing in non-english languages fixed.
• Some spelling errors corrected.
To wrap up, a shout-out to those who have been chatting with us on our Live Streams - we’re on twitch and Steam - we love hearing from you.
But mostly our thanks to those of you who are telling your friends and fellow gamers about our weird little game. Word of mouth and the recommendation of a friend means more than a million trailers so to our advocates and friends, new and old, avatars or real fleshy human things, our sincere and heartfelt thanks.
See you in the next list of “things none of us knew were wrong with our game but we’re happy to admit to now that we’ve fixed them”.
Love and pizza, Community.
