Welcome to 2021. What better way to start the year than... free stuff!!
From now until Jan 21 you can claim two free maps with the Amazon Prime Gaming Map Pack #2
Right now it's only redeemable via your mobile (IOS & Android) but good news is that if you login via your RISK account you'll be able to redeem on mobile and play on Steam. It's important that BOTH mobile and Steam use the same RISK account.
If you have issues please open a ticket here on Freshdesk
We even got this pretty neat vanity URL! All the details are on this page
https://amazon.com/risk
The partnership with Amazon is a triple win as we get promotion, you get free stuff and Amazon get people enjoying Prime even more.
And if you have Prime you should definitely check out The Boys. Such an interesting take on the superhero genre and well worth the admission of Prime alone.
So what are the maps I hear you asking... (i dont but play along)
River Town from the Fantasy pack
This is one of my fave maps as I love that bottleneck in the middle.
As with a lot of maps we want them to have unique "features" of a unique "feel".
The other is Boston from the US Cities Pack.
While it's such an iconic city from film and TV and I've personally visited it 3 times for PAX East, if you put a gun to my head and said Is Boston north or south of NYC I wouldn't be able to confidently say.
So that's the update for now. We'll have more news soon about the next update but 2021 should be a good year for us all. Super excited to share whats coming up. Plus we'll be putting our dice code up on Github! I cant wait for that as will just make it easier to prove we dont mess with the dice. Or maybe there's a bug and we can all find it together. Either way good stuff is coming.
cheers
