Hello.
The registry backup feature is finally ready and available in the beta branch. To opt-in to the beta, click with the right mouse button on "EasySave Backup" on your Steam Library, choose "properties" then go in the "BETA" tab and choose "public registry beta" from the drop down menu.
Why a beta ?
In order to add the registry backup feature i had to change lot of the old code (and add new, of course). I've did a lot of extensive testing to make sure nothing has broken down and everything works, but with various different system configuration available i can't really be 100% sure.
Beta exists for this purpose... let users with totally different hardware and software combination to test and discover slipped bugs or incompatibilities.
So i've decided to release the new version to all those who want to test the new features in preview, and keep the official release to a later date.
So feel free to opt-in and eventually report found bugs (or ask for new features or informations) on Steam's Discussion board @ https://steamcommunity.com/app/1113740/discussions/2/
One final note : New backups (1.20) are not compatible with old versions of EasySave Backup (1.11 or older). Remember it if you plan to opt-out and return to the stable release.

Notes :
- Because of internal differences in the backup file structure, new backups aren't compatible with older versions of EasySave Backup. Older backup can be restored without issues.
- Windows 10 can prevent restore of backups in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Usually HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE isn't used for storing save information, but some older game do it. If a restore fails with the "Error creating registry keys" message, give administration privileges to EasySave Backup, or use the "Restart as Admin" button in the options page.
