Hello, Chasers!
This month, we’re sharing the latest progress on the Vegetation Update, the new Chaser Network system, and the major networking improvements that will support many of OUTBRK’s future features.
VEGETATION UPDATE
Our main focus this month has been debugging and polishing the Vegetation Update. We’re fixing issues throughout the world and optimizing performance to ensure the update is in the best possible shape when it releases.
Most of this work is happening behind the scenes, so there is not much new footage to share just yet. In the meantime, here is another look at the updated vegetation alongside The Warden, a highly anticipated new vehicle arriving soon.
CHASER NETWORK UPDATE
Last month, we shared the first Photoshop mockups for the redesigned Chaser Network. Since then, a significant amount of development has gone into bringing the new system to life.
The feature is now taking shape in our test environment, and we’re excited to share an early look at it running inside the game.
NETWORKING DEVELOPMENT
We’ve mentioned a few times that major server side and networking improvements are currently in development. This work will improve connectivity and the overall multiplayer experience while also providing the foundation for many new features.
We previously showed improvements to player animation replication. This month, we’re showcasing the ability for players to choose which seat they occupy inside a vehicle.
And yes, this includes letting another player take the wheel and drive your car.
That’s all for this update!
