Hello Everyone!
In this Dev blog entry, we want to discuss player toxicity and our reporting/penalty system, along with a new feature we have added to help battle negativity in game.
Refining Our Systems
We are constantly working to improve every aspect of Fault, we want to ensure players feel comfortable playing the game without fear of Afk’ers, excessive toxicity, and more. In order to accomplish this, we have further refined our player reporting and penalty system. Our support staff has been provided with custom-built tools to feed them reports at a much faster rate, they will see all instances live as they happen and will be able to tackle them head-on in real-time.
We have always had a system in place for this, but after watching the community we felt we needed to improve on it and have refined our system specifically to suit our needs and the communities.
Chat Restriction Feature
We understand that things can get heated in a team-based competitive style game, and we feel members should not receive full bans for venting or becoming frustrated with a match. We are implementing a Chat Restriction system which will block players who are reported for being toxic from using the chat feature in-game. These players will still be able to play the game, however, if a user continues to receive chat bans they will wind up receiving a full suspension.
Support
We wanted to take a moment to remind our community that our support staff is always available to help you with any issues you may come across. If you need to contact support directly with an issue, please send an email to [email protected] (thats .co not .com). The team there will be happy to help you and correct any problems you come across.
The Future
We are focused on making Fault enjoyable for all, not just by improving features for current players, but also for new players we plan to bring to the game. We would like to thank you all yet again for your feedback and support, we are listening and your voices are heard. Strange Matter Studios will never stop working with our community and improving not only the game but our company itself.
