Since the Early Access launch i've learned a few things. Like many developers I was trying to make Gooberries into everything. Yes I had added a ton of "things" to the game, but was any of it relevant? Or was it all a little lackluster? Maybe even a bit confusing.
So I made the decision that I was going to put my thinking cap on. I dug into the gooey guts and I yanked all of the stuff out of the game that I couldn't define as a core feature. Instead of constantly adding more. I focused on what really made the game what it is. I took those core features and I expanded them into something more creative, more fun, and so much easier to understand.
So what can you expect now?
Well its a whole new game. And its become an unlimited, expandable universe. When you load the game, the first thing you'll notice is you are standing in a tiny terrarium. Your home sphere! But it doesn't end there. You can build more and more and more of these terrariums and customize the colors, temperatures, layouts and more. Its a truly unlimited Gooberverse!
Words can only describe so much so I made a video where I tour all of the updated features and show you around the game.
What next you ask?
Well now that i've simplified the concept. Took my polishing rag to the core features and basically changed everything about the game. I'm ready to step into the final stretch towards the full release. The only thing left to do is add more content.
I want to add more terrariums so you can have a more diverse ecosystem. I also want to get creative and add a few more machines to help interacting with the Goobers a more enjoyable experience.
That's all for now!
