Smoke & Thunder
Our first cinematic campaign, "2089," was a fast forward into the future; our second, "Smoke & Thunder," is a badass blast to the past—with new weapons, mechanics, a dastardly new outlaw threat, and a mighty fine new boss fight for folks to tangle with.
Featuring tracks from The Heavy, Black Pistol Fire, Bones UK, Devora, and an original never-before-heard track from Magic Sword; this five-scene cinematic campaign is abso-rootin-tutley exploding with exciting new content.
"Smoke & Thunder"'s campaign mode transforms you into the hero of an immersive Western adventure, equipping you with brand new weapons and providing a fully-voiced tale of sisters Jessie (Victoria Hogan, Kingdom Come: Deliverance) and Tess (Avalon Penrose, Hades). It's a visually stunning experience, illustrated with cutscene cinematics created by comic artist and returning talent Fico Ossio, and colourist Raciel Avila.
Once you've conquered the campaign, skedaddle on over to Arcade and check out all the campaign scenes—from both "Smoke & Thunder" as well as "2089"—unbridled for the very first time. In Arcade mode, you can use whatever weapon and modifier you want in countless combinations.
Check out the Teaser below before the launch Smoke & Thunder on August 12.
The "Styles" sandbox
Also included is the new "Styles" system sandbox which allows you combine your preferred weapon type with up to five modifiers to create an unstoppable action experience that's exactly the way you want it. After finding your favourite Style that's uniquely yours, you can challenge friends or compete solo and be the first person to dominate the leaderboard uniquely generated for your chosen Style.
New weapon types also burst onto the scene with the debut of Styles, including Brawler which transforms the previous "No Ammo" modifier into a glorious new melee-only mode. "2089"'s Burstfire and the two upcoming weapons from "Smoke and Thunder" are also available in all scenes with Styles at launch.
These weapon additions and changes combined with four new modifiers mean the possibilities are virtually endless. From green to grizzled and anywhere in-between, there's a Style for you. The Styles sandbox also includes an ever-changing list of recommendations including Featured Styles which contain weekly Style choices curated by our own team of developers and players.
Pricing Update
Three days after the launch of Smoke & Thunder + Styles (our second cinematic campaign, and 8th free content update since launch) the base price of Pistol Whip will increase by $5 to $29.99. Smoke & Thunder + Styles will remain free and included in the base game when it launches at both the current and new price as of August 15th.

We thank you as always for your support, and encourage you (and your pardners) to pick up the game at its current price of $24.99 before the launch of Smoke & Thunder on August 12.
