Hi, adorers!
Here are the big changes that you've been asking for! We loved playing with them. I would say that it is the final step of the transition from the Roguelike genre. And from now on, we can aim to create a lot of content and plan for the 1.0 release.
If you missed the last devlog, here is the link: Devlog 1 - Blessed & Enraged creatures.
So, what's new?
Essences
Essences are used to create synergies between your creatures and they are now permanent! After some turns, they do not disappear anymore.
To find an Essence, you need to capture a creature. The type of this creature will determine which type of essence it will drop: Beast, Nature, Mystic, Arcane or Dragon.
They are also directly related to the blessed creatures (Devlog 1 - Blessed & Enraged creatures) and a bit harder to acquire.
Small Essences are dropped from Normal creatures:

Medium Essences are dropped from Blessed creatures:

Big Essences are dropped from Super Blessed creatures:

Synergies
Synergies are also permanent and you can choose what ability the synergy will create!
Depending on the level of your creature, it will have more ability options to choose from.
To Upgrade to a level 2 synergy, now you need a Medium Essence. You cannot sum two small essences anymore. So here comes the importance of finding and capturing Blessed Creatures! Blessed and Super Blessed creatures are the ones who drop Medium(level 2) and Big(level 3) essences.
Some rules:
- Each creature can only have one synergy of each type.
- There is a limit of 6 points of synergies for each creature.
- You can reset the synergies of your creature using Fragments
Artifacts
We removed the durability from Artifacts(new name to the items). They are also permanent now!
In the village, in front of your house, you'll be able to find a chest that will contain all your artifacts and materials.
You can equip up to six artifacts at the same time and you are free to change them at any time while in the village to better suit your build.
To acquire an artifact, you can buy them from Baldin, the Shopkeeper.
If you find any unidentified artifacts while in Gaterdrik, you can bring them to Baldin. He'll identify it and make it available in his store.
Materials
We are introducing Materials to the game. They are resources that you find during your adventures and can be used to upgrade your artifacts.
Materials can have 3 levels of quality.

That's it for now! There are lots of changes that we did not talk about that you'll be able to check on the patch notes.
We can't wait to have you playing on the 8th of March!
