Greetings! We hope you have been enjoying Questlist. Today's patch includes the following:
Changes to NG+
Questlist was designed with replayability in mind. Routes are complete experiences from start to finish, but focus on one specific perspective or theme; some only include happy endings, other routes only include tragic endings, some have a mix.
Playing multiple routes enriches the story by showing the full picture.
To make replaying the game more enjoyable, we introduced NG+ some weeks ago.
Today we want to make some changes to it that will make it even easier to replay the game:
- Level, skill and equipment inheritance
You will be able to inherit Vera's level, Vera's skill levels (so you'll start with Dangerous Lips++, for example), gold and equipment. You'll inherit one of all the jewels you already own: if you have two of the same jewels (for example, two Water Strikes), you'll only inherit one. The levels of party members will match Vera's.
IMPORTANT! Level and equipment inheritance is not retroactive: you'll need to watch the ending credits at least once to unlock it. We hope this change will make it easier for players to focus on the multiple paths of the story.
Balance changes
- Enemies have been made scarcer in some areas. Less enemies are required to complete certain quests. The EXP & items they reward has been increased;
Developer's notes: the areas most affected were Ostmoor, the Southills, the highways and most caves; this should remove the feel of grinding.
- Lowered HP & damage of the first Raina fight on Easy and Normal difficulties;
- Further decrease of damage and Freeze chance of the last boss on all difficulties;
- The slot machines in the casino have been reworked to be much more generous;
Developer's notes: Dice Delight is the best way to make tokens, but players seem to enjoy the slots a lot. We decided to adjust the winning chances to make the spins feel more rewarding.
Miscellaneous fixes
- Added a pop-up after unlocking the monkey's boon;
- Fixed a bug that made party members leave with accessories;
- Sunny's unique accessories will now be removed once she leaves the party;
- Fixed a bug that caused a softlock if the second floor of Lovett's tower was accessed from the left hallway;
- Minor text fixes;
Thank you for playing!
