The first update of the beta is now live! Here's a list of the new features implemented and all the bugs and issues fixed:
NEW FEATURES & CHANGES
- Including 64Km2 Spring Map. (Experimental, may be removed in the future if too heavy)
- Created thousands of new tags for assets (used for searching)
- Cutscene splines control points now resize according to camera distance
- Force camera to return to horizontal position (roll = 0) when clicked on the top right button because cutscenes could make game camera go wild
- Cutscene now stops if the top right menu is pressed.
- Changed close icons to "X" image
- Added a confirmation screen to leave map edition
- Added Open map option at main screen
- Created Input Customization user option
- Optimization - Modified Weather Snow/Rain cover detection to be executed only when assets were changed.
- Modified asset placement to be able to use the 64Km2 map, aka move things up to 1.2 miles away
- Alt-M now toggles hiding of menu buttons. Great for screenshots!
BUGS & FIXES
- Bug corrected where expanded thumbnail image from Asset List stays on screen forever
- Bug corrected where alt-stamped objects were created but remained invisible
- Bug corrected where keeping alt pressed leads to a LOT of assets being created.
- Fixed furnace asset
- Fixed collision on magic circle asset
- Corrected a bug where a crash could happen when loading and editing lights
- Corrected Stone Fence asset rotation
- Corrected bug where Grouped objects still appear in the asset list
- Corrected bug that allowed cutscene to play while saving the game
- Corrected bug for spline in cutscene not refreshing itself after loading a new map
- Corrected a bug where on some lights the weather vane creates fog when placed at the map
- Removed fixed bases from Medieval Siege Assets
- Implemented validation in the dungeon generator because certain values cause MD to crash. Also now it generates the dungeon at the current dungeon level, making it possible to create quick multi level dungeons
- Some beavers were removed from the city map as they were preventing the safe passage of boats.
