Today we're excited to provide an exclusive sneak peek into our brand-new Marshlands map; a key component of our upcoming Content Update 1, which is tentatively scheduled for an early September release. Other features and improvements are also a part of our biggest update yet. Keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks for additional feature previews!
Marshland – an industrial battleground
Set in a Soviet satellite state, Marshlands features a large semi-derelict industrial mining complex which is to act as a staging ground and logistical hub for a renewed NATO push towards a key military installation nearby.
Marshland is at the name suggests dominated by marshy terrain outside of the mining complex itself, providing a challenging environment for effective maneuvering and brings a fresh aesthetic to '83.
The vast industrial mining area contains a large variety of structures including warehouses, administration buildings and conveyor systems – providing a distinctive and varied environment for the upcoming battle ahead.
The map is progressing nicely and has already had its first closed community playtest and we will of course continue to iterate on it right up until its release.
More on what to come in Content Update 1 in the coming weeks, stay tuned to our channels to stay up-to-date.
