Weekly Dev Update #51
Week of May 31st, 2021
We interrupt this scheduled Kaiju Fishing weekly update to bring you a special report!
ASTRAL DISTRACTIONS
We detoured ever so slightly this week in order to update one of our older titles: Astro Joust. We’re still working on polishing up Medium Fishing for Kaiju Fishing but it’s mostly the same ol’ grind so I figured I would take this time to preview the Astro Joust update!
When we launched Astro waaay back in the day, we had modeled it after the arcade classic: Joust. You can tell this inspiration from uh, the title. Part of this plan was a single-player option where you could go up against small waves of enemies who bounce around. Well, the wait is over! Single-player Astro Joust will be available as part of a free update in the very near future.
This update also features a Steam Leaderboard to track who is leading the way in Wave Completions. And hey, Jeff also managed to fix a pretty massive audio bug that had been gnawing at us for a minute (you may have noticed it if you’ve tuned into any of our Festival Streams for Astro Joust). It’s gonna be a decent little update for Astro Joust so we hope you’ll check it out!
