Weekly Dev Update #62
Week of October 4, 2021
How is it October already? Anyone else think this year is just flying by? Maybe it’s just me.
Kaiju Fishing is still marchin’ along. We have a new trailer in the works, new environment content, and some updates planned for the Demo.
ICE, ICE BABY
So far, our demo has been focused on just one area: Tropical. It’s a vibrant area with lots of plants but it’s not our only zone. We have three others to dive into! The first we’ll be working on is our ice biome.
The sheer glaciers and floating platforms will be new terrain to navigate and explore. And of course each zone will contain entirely different fish and a unique Kaiju. For now, check out this quick concept art as we nail down the colors and feel of each area:
And remember, there's new characters to meet on your adventure in each area. In the ice zone, you'll meet these seals - who are still some of my favorite character designs for the game. I love them.
