Hello everyone, we've worked hard this weekend to release version 1.1
Let's start with some important information first:
Your old project will not be available per default in ikarus anymore. You'll see why in the patchnotes. If you had any progress that you think is worthwhile saving here's a guide:
- Open Ikarus
- Create a Project
- Close Ikarus
- Go to ${steam}/steamapps/common/Ikarus
- cut the "test.db" file WINDOWS:
- go to %appdata%/ikarus/projects/Project LINUX:
- go to ~/.config/ikarus/projects/Project
- delete the data.db file
- paste your test.db file
- rename it to data.db
and you're done should you struggle with this, or should it fail for you, message me on Discord: Folling#9999
We've temporarily removed macOS support, as there's an issue with getting Ikarus to run on it.
We're also aware of some problems on older systems, with older graphics drivers.
Patch Notes:
New Features
- Implemented Project Feature - have multiple projects, one for each world/universe and switch freely between them!
- Implemented Colour Theme - You can now change most of the colours in Ikarus, should you not like the default theme. However - the colours are currently not saved, so you would have to re-set it every time you start Ikarus. This is mostly just to collect feedback for now. Thanks for MetroAndroid for the suggestion!
- Created the About Page to show love to our Supporters and the OSS licenses of awesome projects we depend on
Bug Fixes
- Using a Colour in a representation no longer crashes Ikarus - thanks to am18carpenter for the find!
- Using Constraints for Selectables/ReferenceLists no longer crashes Ikarus
- Any Entities (Blueprints, Attributes, Representations, Instances) are now displayed in the order they were created in, previously adding many of them would reshuffle them
- Range Constraints are now working properly
- Ranges can now be represented properly
- Representations no longer add an unnecessary space after the last part's postfix
- Deleting Entities no longer prohibits you from adding new ones
Visuals
- The "Instance Attributes" Button for Instances was reduced in size and had its text changed to "Values" - it still does the same thing, but leaves more space for representations, and seems more obvious
- Blueprint's Instances are now just called {blueprint_name}s So for Character it would show "Characters", this obviously is terrible for internationalisation and irregular nouns, and we'll work on that once we include translations, however this will do for now.
- Instance-Attribute windows no longer display ${representation} Instance-Attributes, but rather just ${representation}
