Good hygiene is more important than ever right now, and it's no different in Definitely Not Fried Chicken. You'll need to ensure your staff are able to maintain good hygiene to keep your business running and your customers happy (and safe!).
When a character’s hygiene becomes low, they will start to emit stink lines and flies will begin to circle them. If their hygiene reaches zero they will become sick and turn green. At this point they will then start to throw up onto the floor, with each successive vomiting increasing the chance of death.
When sick characters pick up products, the product will become contaminated, reducing it’s value, or in the case of food businesses cause the customer to become sick when they eat it, potentially leading to some quite messy results. To help mitigate against this, characters can be equipped with latex gloves to stop them contaminating products.
