The latest live version has a new feature which is the ability to drop a light source. Press X when holding a light source to drop. This helps you fight against enemies as you can drop the light and see better as you equip a weapon.
It is also very useful to aid you completing some quests. This will be explained in more detail in an added book to be found in the game.
