Hello there, Landlords!
How is everyone doing? It’s been a long week here, but we finally managed to get through all the beta applications and we sent out the first wave of invites. It wasn’t a huge batch, but after we get the first playtests off the ground, we do plan to eventually increase the amount of available invites. We might even get additional random giveaway raffles later on so don’t worry if you didn’t get in - there’ll be plenty of opportunity for a sneak peek in the future.
We’ve received quite a lot of submissions and we went through all of them. Here’s some interesting trivia about you guys that you might enjoy:
- The USA managed to dominate as it topped the list with over 30% of submissions featuring fans from America. Europe was widely represented too, with Poland and Germany leading the charts there.
- We got plenty of gals on board as over 46% identified as female.
- The average aspiring landlord is apparently 27.5 years old.
- Y’all seem to love The Sims, House Flipper, Minecraft and Prison Architect. Nice.
It was really cool to meet all of you! Anyway, we’re still putting on finishing touches on the beta build itself, so if you got the “you’re in” email, expect your actual Steam key to come on early next week.
In terms of the development, these last few weeks we’ve been mostly focusing on polishing the game, as well as on adding new and exciting content. We’ve recently added over 120 new available furniture items to the game and boy do the views get beautiful. Check out some of the designs our team has come up with!
We’ve also been focusing on revamping the doors system as we’ve realized that the good ol’ regular swinging doors might be too chunky for some of the early game apartments. The technology is now here to customize doors too and we’ve got plenty of options for those who value their space.
We’ve previously mentioned a new trailer, unfortunately, it took a bit of a backseat as we wanted to include all the new shiny stuff in it too. It’s still coming! In fact, to make it up to you guys, we’ll throw in an extra wave of beta invites to celebrate its release, so make sure to follow us and stay on the lookout for more news!
