Modified the calculations for getting guests into your tournament to account for both number of guests already signed up (increasing the chance) and the reputation of the resort (increasing the number of tries).
Added animal sound toggle on the options menu.
Added eventbox messages for when an animal passes away.
Added eventbox messages telling you how many membership applications you have pending at the beginning of a month.
Increased time for message to stay displayed in the center.

We have a Resort Boss: Golf update for you today! Please read on for details and enjoy the new update!
New Golfer Editor
Completely revamped golfer editor that gives you more control over creation of your golfers, as well as a browser so you can easily edit and clone previously created golfers. The number of shirts, pants, and hats has more than doubled giving you a lot more possibility of creation. You're now also able to specify the age, the country, the profession, and a desired display photo.
Revamped Golfer AI
The golfer AI has been completely reworked to be more manageable and less prone to issues. Player now also utilizes the same system, allowing for more gameplay possibilities. Due to the new system, we're now also able to properly save the visitors and the VIP's presence in the game. Your old saves should still work, although some golfers may spawn a bit later than usual at first.
Graphical Settings
Gone is the default launcher, and in is a newly revamped options menu that includes graphical settings for you to select, including resolution, screen mode, and various quality settings.
Notice System
At the top of the screen now lies a text box that will bring you relevant information from time to time, including when a VIP arrives, when a golfer you created has entered the course, when a tournament begins, basic financial information. This will give you a quick reminder when things happen. Also added a pop up for when your tournament fails to get enough golfers. More information/triggers can be added to this system as needed.
Improvements/Fixes
You can now go directly to a golfer's profile panel from the guest list.
Added an option to expel members from your club.
On the resort info panel, added a button to quickly zoom to the player character's location.
You can now press the right click button when aiming your shot to cancel the shot and be able to change the swerve of the ball.
Due to the new AI system, we were able to add a Play option to your courses, so you can play an entire course in one go as opposed to going from hole to hole.
Re-balanced golfer spawn so that custom golfers have a higher chance of being spawned.
You can now press N to toggle the display of guest names on the resort.
Added a default golfer boss character that can be edited when starting the game without created bosses.
Improved the hole detection for the ball to better account for chip ins.
Modified the animation trigger for walking to be based on the character speed, as opposed to the start/end of a movement.
Fixed issue with the messages not being loaded properly when resuming a save upon launching the game.
Fixed a missing space in the visit result message.
Fixed the text for a successful golf visit.
Golf Boss name has been added to the resort info panel.
Fixed some of the quality settings not being properly reflected into the game.
Fixed an issue with turning a saved golfer into a different type would result in duplicates and the photos not saving properly.
Fixed an issue with golfers not registering as having reached their target while moving, causing them to occasionally get stuck.
Fixed an issue where the game would crash on launch if no golfer saved data was found.

We have just released a small patch which adds the ability to select player icons for the player character, and fixes a few issues you kindly reported.

Fixed an issue with loading the correct player model when playing sandbox.
Fixed an issue with the campaign not allowing the selection of bosses properly.
Fixed an issue with saving a new sandbox after playing a campaign mode resulted in saving the game as a campaign.
Fixed an issue with the AI data not properly saving, which meant resetting the AI portraits.
Fixed an issue where the game would freeze if a VIP was meant to spawn and the player had both only one course and a tournament happening at the same time.
Fixed an issue with the staff/golfer portraits not loading from the file correctly.

We've just launched a quick update for Resort Boss: Golf, with a bunch of new bug fixes, as well as a splash of new content.

7 October Full Patch Notes

Added Red Pandas to the game. Very expensive, but high prestige.
Added lamp posts for night golfing.
Added parking lots, for visualization of how busy a resort is, as well as to give a bonus to the capacity of the resort.
Added a (Closed) label to the resort name in the main menu for better visibility.
Added a panel to confirm the closing of a resort if a tournament is in place, cancelling said tournament.
Fixed issue with loading multiple groups to a hole would cause the active group to be reset multiple times, resulting in golfers that never left the course or played.
Fixed an issue with the decay of the terrain tiles that caused them to not decay properly if they were assigned to a hole then the hole was removed.
Fixed an issue with the AI logic when saving/loading where the golfer's state on being called to hit the ball would be reset, yet the golfer would believe he still had to wait for his turn. The resetting of the state was moved to a later state, and now the golfer loads properly.
Fixed an issue where closing a hole sometimes would not make the waiting golfers exit the resort.
Modified the AI calculations for strokes, properly implementing a confidence variable that would allow the AI to take riskier/more rewarding shots (so they *should* be trying to cut through trees on a dogleg; and if unsuccessful, they'll try a less risky shot next time). May need some adjustments.
Fixed a false negative on the PlayGroup's spawned status that caused a resort to sometimes spawn duplicate golfers.
Fixed an issue with the tee counter resulting in the standby not being turned off when it should.
Fixed an issue where some groups would be saved/loaded as empty, which would break the whole group system.
Fixed an issue where the actually active group on the hole would not be saved as active, resulting in the ActiveGroup being set to null, further breaking the group system.
Fixed an issue where a group could be added both as Active and Next in a hole, making the hole not advance if the Active group ended as they would be trying to call themselves as the next group.
Fixed an issue where golfers would stop respawning to play golf because there was a bad group still set as the active/next group of the hole.
Utility placement tip now closes properly after closing the panel.
Golfers will now only visit the resort to frequent existing facilities; no more will they spawn and idle about without a goal in mind if the driving range didn't exist and they came to the resort to drive.
Vending Machines and Benches can now be placed in any location, as opposed to being stuck to the four sides of a tile.
Fixed issue with parking lot and lamp posts not being removable.
Fixed issue with parking spots being updated visually while players were looking at it.
Reduced the rate of update of the parking spots.
Fixed an issue where the spawn chance was becoming zero whenever the user placed a parking lot.

We've just released a patch which tackles a bunch of bugs - read on for the full details.
We're hard at work on the September update, which will deliver new staff members, custom AI portraits, a revamped resort rating system and more.

Player should now appear in the hole queue, as well as have their queue/play icon toggled at the correct time.
Fixed spelling of the difficulty flag.
Fixed the spawning of VIP guests when they aren't on the resort for golfing.
Fixed a crash error when saving due to golfers not existing anymore.
Golfers should no longer disappear instantly after finishing their time at the resort, and will instead move towards the clubhouse before despawning.
Fixed a crash error when despawning the groups from a hole.
VIP guests that are playing golf should now properly despawn if you close their hole. They will, however, be very upset.
Holes that are part of a course that is undergoing a tournament can no longer be closed.
Fixed issue where the bulldozer wouldn't work for vending machines.
VIP guests will no longer try to play golf on a course that is going to be used for a tournament.
Removing a hole no longer potentially creates an endless loop.
Fixed an issue where golfers would ignore subsequent driving ranges.
Putting green builder should now have no holes when you begin building a new one.
Fixed a bug that made the golfers wait in queue after sinking a putt despite not being in a queue.

Fixed a number of issues related to null references which could cause the saving to not work, as well as crashes in other areas.
Fixed issue where driving rangers and putting greens were being loaded twice.
Fixed issue where golfers weren't applying for membership, and VIP requests weren't spawning.
Fixed spelling error and fixed the wrong display of the scenario information. Also added localization to the "Scenarios" button in the game maker.
Driving targets will no longer be collidable while moving them around.
Golfers no longer play on holes that are unbuilt or closed.
Fixed issue where golfers would not begin playing on a tournament because of a missing queue spot.
Removing a hole now properly disbands a group. If the hole was closed, the group is also disbanded. If the player was on queue for a hole that got closed, he'll be called up to play properly.
Golfers on the driving range will now properly aim down the range even if there are targets available in other directions; they'll only aim at those targets if they are within 45 degrees of the direction of the drive.
Golfers in the driving range will now no longer be pickable.
Removed the Z mapping for the debugging of the shots, as this was conflicting with the rotation mapping of objects.
Added icons to show which golfers are waiting for/playing on a hole when you click on a hole.

Vending machines
Modified AI spawning for playing golf to be based on groups. For the holes/courses available, the game will attempt to spawn a group of 1 to 5 golfers, of variable skill, to play.
In the case of tournaments, the players taking place are separated by groups and called as necessary.
Golfers will now wait for their group partners to finish their stroke before moving on.
Problem of endless golfers waiting at a hole has been eliminated.
Fixed issue of the golfer hitting the ball while it was in movement.
Increased the tolerance of the hole hit to allow for more chip ins and long distance hits.
Fixed issue with the scenario button appearing when it shouldn't.
Golfers will now have a higher chance of renting a cart when playing on the course.
Altered the height floor limit for respawning an AI.
Edit the queue on the hole panel to gather information from the groups.
Reduced sound of the animals.
Edited the spawning for the courses to block spawning on courses that have been set for a tournament.
Golfers are spawning and walking while game is paused TODO.
Added icons to identify the tournament golfers when they enter the course.
Improved golf stroke calculation for the AI.
Added speech bubbles for when the AI is out on the course, to simulate interaction between them.
AI should now buy food/drink/rest on benches when the triggers are hit.
Putting green will be displayed as putting green properly
Fixed an issue where starting a new scenario while playing the game would result in the scenario staff not spawning
Reworked the save logic to avoid the eternal loop issue

We have just pushed a new update live for Resort Boss:Golf, which bring countless quality of life improvements and bug fixes.
Some content originally planned for this month has unfortunately had to be delayed to June, and we will get this content out (Challenge Scenarios, Driving Range and Putting Green) within the coming weeks - it needs just a tad more time and we appreciate the patience!

Added hole edit button to the hole panel.
Disabled editing play order/removing holes from the course attributes panel.
Course name and price no longer changeable if the course is used in a tournament until the tournament ends.
Holes part of a tournament will become uneditable until the tournament ends.
Added sound effects to the golf carts.
Carts will now be properly paused when the game is paused.
Added a panel that pops up showing the player his result at the hole he finished playing.
Added a scorecard panel for when the player is taking part in a tournament.

Carts no longer spontaneously explode if you enter a new cart after leaving a damaged cart.
Fixed the text on the ingame panel when selecting a cart. You're not buying that cart; you're entering it.

I'm excited to announce that Resort Boss: Golf has just received a massive update, which introduces drivable golf carts, tournaments, wildlife, enhanced golf gameplay, improved camera freedom and more, along with countless bug fixes.
Challenge scenarios, driving ranges and putting greens are all coming in Resort Boss: Golf's next update, so watch out for news!

New Features
Golf Carts
Players can now build golf cart garages on their resort, which allows golfers to rent carts for their time on the course, giving you a new potential income avenue and allowing golfers to move through the course faster.
Players can also ride golf carts by right-clicking on the terrain to bring up the new context menu, which allows them to spawn golf carts and enter them (by right clicking on the golf cart).
There are 6 types of golf carts, each with varied handling setup and speed/acceleration attributes. Spawning a cart is free, but only allows you to run around the resort.
Tournaments
Players are now able to host and play tournaments! Tournaments will currently bring in extra revenue if you can make them appealing enough for golfers. They require a course to be setup, and are completely customizable. While the tournament is ongoing, regular golfers won't be able to play on that course. Players can also choose to partake in the tournament, and receive the cash prize and the trophy should they win.
Wildlife
A series of animals were added to the golf course! Buy ducks, turtles, alligators, and more and place them around your resort to beautify and add more interesting points for the golfers! More animals will be added as early access gets underway, as well as expansion of the systems.
New Golf Gameplay
The point and click golf gameplay has been augmented by power bars! Players will still use the old way of dragging the mouse to aim their shot, which will update a marker on the power bar giving players the location of where they should attempt to hit. Players will click once to get the power bar rolling, then click again to set the power, and click again to set the accuracy. There is also the possibility to add spin to your shots!
Golfer Emoticons
Golfers will now express their current feelings via emoticon popups after taking a shot or performing some action out on your resort. These will correlate to the feeling felt by the golfer when they have a thought.
Camera Freedom
Lowered the minimum rotation angle of the camera and increased the maximum zoom in distance so that players can get up and close to the action. Players are also now able to properly see the sky!
Bug Fixes

Fixed issue where messages would be regenerated when the listing was clicked.
Calendar and date picker now have a today button to bring you back to the correct time.
Fixed issue with date picker not closing
Fed ducks super food and now they are doubled in size.
Ducks will now loiter around properly.
Ducks no longer fly in the air like maniacs.
Fixed crash that was leading the save game box to not close properly.
Fixed autosave freeze when wildlife is available.
Fixed a crash when entering the golf cart.

Increased the size of the cart UI to make it more readable and fixed spelling issues.

Adjusted the layer ordering so that the logo doesn't appear in front of the menus anymore.
Disabled right click menu until tutorial is over.
Fixed the display of the cost of the visit, and adjusted calculations to be dependent on your current money.
Added more information to the golf cart list to let the players know which carts are being rented.
Fixed issue when loading the character's clothings that would cause the AI to crash and stop responding.
Fixed an issue where the player would not be able to play the tournament they created
Tournament data is now properly cleared when opening the panel.
Golfers will now properly progress through the tournament.
Players no longer able to delete the tournament course before the tournament starts.
Increased the speed at which the tournament gathers applications.

Fixed crash when removing a golfer that has finished playing a hole.
Fixed issue where golfers would just keep repeating the same first hole over and over.
Golf carts now automatically untopple when you reenter them.
Golfers that are participating in a tournmanet will now no longer enter the resort until the tournament happens, preventing evil twin syndrome.
Fixed display of the resort area label on the Resort Info panel.
Fixed issue when saving an AI that had played golf and finished, causing the current hole to be null but still needed to be accessed.
Fix issue with the tournament not being cleared when loading a new game.
Fix issue where trying to sell a cart wouldn't open the panel.
Added text to identify the current state of a course in the course builder (In Tournament, Playable, No Holes).
Made the course that is a part of a tournament undeletable.
Made the holes that were part of a course that is part of a tournament un-changeable.
Tweaked the golfer AI to make them more likely to try to go for the hole in short par 3 holes.
Added a label to tell the player what kind of terrain they are on.

We've released a new patch today, which fixes a bunch of issues ahead of our big April update coming later in the month. This upcoming update will feature tournaments, golf carts, wildlife and enhanced golf gameplay.
10th April - Alterations and Bug Fixes

Default building walls randomised.
Tee and hole will no longer disappear upon creating or editing a hole.
Fixed height tools getting stuck on hole builder.
Added a calendar panel to help players visualize upcoming visits and whatnot.
Fixed issue that led to courses being rated as hated most of the time.
Fixed the spawning of course-related thoughts.
Increased penalty for aiming at water to force the golfers to stop aiming at the water.
Fixed issue where the year would be displayed as YYYY as opposed to the actual year.
Panel now displays the correct information for the AI's state, as opposed to the localization string.
AI now takes better account of the wind when striking the ball.
Naturally occurring trees are now dependent on tileset.
Trees now also spawn inside the resort grounds.
Balanced the starting terrain tile types to match the tileset. (More sand on the desert; more snow on the winter etc)
Improved the hill generation algorithm.
Default starting resort will now also vary between tilesets and terrain types.
Modified the wind calculations to make it less likely it'll raise too high and stay high.
Loading a game after starting a new game will now appear with the correct tileset.
Heat map is now executed properly when run from the hole overview panel.
The font size of the tools explanation has been increased to improve legibility.
The rating up pop up no longer blocks the main menu.
Fixed an issue where golfers were stuck in a leaving the course state.
Fixed instances where the summary panel of the financial panel didn't start opened when opening the panel.
Strings for building names are now properly separated in special cases.
Corrected the strings with missing brackets.
Fixed issue with employees panel closing immediately after opening.
Member/Application list on the Resort Info Panel can now be properly scrolled.
Entering text for the course name no longer moves the camera.
Improved the looks of the water bodies.
Golfers no longer wait for the next round at the hole they were in.
Fixed issue where data wouldn't be cleared properly when starting a new game while doing the tutorial.
Roof selection is now saved for future buildings when opening the panel again.
Restarting the tutorial in the middle of the tutorial properly clears the resort.
Fixed issue where players weren't able to complete the first objective in the tutorial after completing the tutorial.
Fixed issue where players couldn't add a new building in certain cases.
Character model is now properly reset when starting a new game.
Closing the holes window will now also close the opened hole info panel.
Salary Budget amount now increases with resort rating.
Hole info panel now has the correct name after you delete a hole.
Golfers no longer freeze on certain instances when you remove a hole.
Buildings in the building list are now listed with their subtype where applicable.
Building name no longer overflows the text box if it's too long.
Removing all tiles of a building now properly updates the details/money of the building.
Placing a tile in front of a tile with a decoration now properly removes that decoration, and disables the approval if there's no other doors available.
Shareholders no longer request features that the user hasn't unlocked yet.
Fixed spacing issues in certain texts.
Grid lines no longer projected on trees and similar objects.
Removing a tile with a door now properly blocks the construction if there are no other doors available.
Unfinished Member's Lounge no longer increase the membership cap.
Unfinished buildings no longer count for resort rating.
Updated the logo to the current version.
Removed placeholder text from golfer panel.
Added option to remove courses in the course builder.
Fixed issue where golfers didn't approach the ball if it spawned near the edge of water.
Fixed issue with the hole tutorial completing before it should.
Fixed graphical issues with the new tilesets.

I'm excited to announce that Resort Boss: Golf's March update is now live!
The March update sees the debut of a course builder, allowing you to freely link their holes together into a guided course for their resort’s golfers, a terrain generator, a character creator and a selection of new cosmetic options, diversifying your golf resorts.
There’s still plenty to come from Resort Boss: Golf’s Early Access period, with tournaments, wildlife, challenge scenarios and more already confirmed for release across April and May.
New Features

Expanded the hole panel, with more information and tools for evaluating the holes you have built.
Added two new tools for hole building: (these tools are accessible both from the hole info panel and from the hole builder)
Shot Analyzer: Allows you to place the ball on any spot near a hole, and see what are the options that the AI is more likely to choose.
Heatmap: For holes with play history, shows you the most commong landing spots for shots.
Added the Course Builder, which allows you to create and customize the courses in your resort. It allows you to:
Choose the holes that belong to a course
Name and price the course
View the history of play on the course, complete with shot visualizers
View overall information regarding the golfers' opinion on the course
Added three new tilesets that the players can choose when creating their resort:
Sandy Desert: A desert themed landscape
Winter Wonderland: A winter/snowy themed landscape
Deadwood: A horror-ish themed landscape
Added two new terrain options for creating the resort:
Rolling Hills: Creates a terrain that features smooth variations in height, creating long hills
Thousand Lakes: Creates a terrain with several little lakes spread around the map
Added the Golfer Creator. Players are now able to create and customize not only their own Resort Boss, but also golfers and VIPs that can appear during general gameplay.
Added an option to select the boss that will own the resort that the player is creating.
Added support for Portuguese language.
Fixes

Path no longer overlaps with the tee box.
Building editor will now choose a random wall type everytime you start a new building.
Adjusted the wind function to have less insane changes.
Removed the limit of 18 holes for the resort.
Replaced the game logo with higher resolution one on the loading screen.
Wind arrow should now point to the correct direction.
Tiles with trees are no longer marked as OB, but will have large penalties for the AI calculations.
Landscapers will now try to find the orders that are closer to them first.
Planting trees in the Winter tileset has a chance to spawn them with snow.
Taking a loan will no longer also include the interest in the loaned amount.
Buildings will now no longer generate income while still in the planning stage.
Double clicking the hole button will no longer result in invisible holes.
Tutorial panels now hide properly if you load/create a new game while playing the tutorial.
Fixed issue with a nullreference when trying to close the hole panel which led to the panel not closing.
Modified the failsafe to make the AI stop if it stops approaching the target object.
Adjusted AI logic to be able to finish the hole.
Course builder has been disabled during tutorial.
Course selector will now be properly highlighted, and fixed issue with the attributes not updating.
Golfers will no longer attempt to play a closed hole.
Courses are now being properly cleared when starting/loading another game.
Set the correct label for the localization and added auto-resize to the text that didn't have it.
Add/Remove buttons are now properly localized.
Not completing the hole tutorial will no longer lock the hole builder in regular play.
Fixed the issue with the tutorial options being clumped up together on the scroll view.
Fixed issue with an Add button that was being labelled Remove.
Fixed issue with a Remove button that was being labelled Add.
Fixed another issue that was leading to the hole builder tool becoming unusable.
Set the proper replacement flags for the text.
Courses are now being properly loaded when loading a save game.
Added localization for Reset Tutorial.
Course button is now properly unlocked after finishing the tutorial.
Added missing localization bindings.
Added missing Portuguese translations.
Added a failsafe for calling golfers from the queue, to avoid the null reference issue.

We have now launched a massive Resort Boss: Golf update, which focuses on making the game more dynamic. The game now features weather, including the rain effects seen in the screenshot above. Also introduced is a day/night cycle, alongside wind and the ability to place down bridges.
Full Patch Notes - Update Releasing 13 March
New Features

Varied weather patterns that will bring more style and effect to your golf courses. Rainy days will reduce attendance; Sunny days will give golfers a happiness boost.
Day night cycle to vary the look of the course. They function at a different pace to the game speed, and serve currently as cosmetic enhancement to the game.
Wind has been added, uniformly with a marker next to the message button showing you the direction (which also rotates together with the camera to give you the correct reading). Some golfers are better at reading the wind than others.
Bridges have been added to allow you to connect patches of land surrounded by water to the mainland.
Path tool has been reworked to become easier to use.
Added speed shortcuts, using keyboard 1, 2, and 3
Fixes

Water now actually acts like water; balls that land in the water will splash, and the golfer will need to try again.
Increased the membership count of Member's Lounge by 30%.
Increased the staff count of the Staff Room by 25%.
Golfers will no longer try to play from the edge of the water.
Fixed an issue where the number of golfers that visited a course could be limited by the spawn queue.
Deleting the active save after starting a game will now disable the continue button.
Fixed an issue where raising/lowering height on a hole could cause the tool to stop working.
Terrain elevation is now properly loaded when loading a save game after having a game loaded.
Adjusted the building price formula to make it more balanced
Adjusted the lighting on the night setup to make it less dark
Reduced the fog intensity during the foggy weather
Reduced the emissions of the water to make them less glowy
Opening the menu with ESC now also pauses the game
Players will no longer receive revenue from buildings if the resort is closed at the start of the day. They will still pay for maintenance.
Golfers should now properly leave the queue.
Fixed issue where players could complete the current hole by sinking the ball in any hole.
Fixed issue that caused the tee/flag to be unaffected by the height adjustment.
Potentially addressed the golfer tantrum issue by removing the function to make them rotate to face the ball. This will be replaced by a proper animation later.
Added a sanity check to remove duplicate messages and thus avoid the infinite golfer spawn issue.
Golfers will no longer sink near the water.
RBG-293: Fixed issue with the selection of the building panel not being reset to 0, causing it to try and load a selection that wasn't available.
Fixed issues where cancelling the path building would remove the path selection panel, and you weren't able to close the tool by clicking on the cancel button.

Yesterday, we announced a roadmap for Resort Boss: Golf's Early Access updates for March - May.
The content listed in the roadmap for March, including new languages, a course builder, and a character editor will release before the month is out. But before then, we have one more exciting surprise announcement.
On Wednesday 13 March, we're launching a content update featuring weather, a day and night cycle and bridges, alongside a plethora of fixes.
