Last Saturday, Secret Neighbor was the subject of an attack by an individual who had managed to obtain credentials with admin access to our backend systems.
With these credentials, the individual was able to access and wipe player profiles, progression, and other in-game data as well as carry out a coordinated attack on our serversystems and infrastructure across all platforms on which Secret Neighbor is currently available.
Please be aware that no personal data or information has been compromised or leaked, the only data affected by this attack relates to in-game player profiles and progression.
The individual responsible for this attack has stated that they intend to continue targeting the game and its backend systems, until the game is removed from sale across all platforms.
As such, we have temporarily shut down the game until we have addressed the breach and closed any vulnerabilities that may have led to this incident.
We don’t have an exact timeframe for how long this might take, but rest assured that we are working to get this resolved as quickly as possible and needless to say, we will not be removing the game from sale on any platforms.
With this being an intentional attack on our title and our players, accompanied by explicit blackmail, we are taking this situation very seriously. We have been in contact with the relevant authorities regarding the individual in question and are working with PlayFab to try and recover any deleted data.
We apologise for the inconvenience here, and will keep you all updated on our progress and how the situation unfolds going forwards.

What's new in Raven Brooks?
Let it snow!
Is it really Christmas if everything we see isn’t blanketed in a carpet of snow? Well, yes snow is actually very uncommon in some parts of the world. But not in Secret Neighbor!
Snow’s back, and with it you can once again wrap up warm, gather your friends, build some snowmen with them and then pelt them with snowballs, because what else are friends for?
New Brawl Mode: BooYah Wars!
Get your hooks ready folks, as the fan favourite brawl mode came home for Christmas!
Separated by a chasm filled with lava, players must “booyah!” their way to victory by hooking their opponents and reeling them onto their side of the map.
Obviously, you can also go the griefing route and just spend the game dropping your opponents in the river of magma that divides you, but you don’t get any points for that (and won’t win any friends that way either…)
After 5 rounds, the team with the most rounds won, wins the game!
Some festive stocking fillers:
Guest, Hunter, Ghost, Clown, Butcher and Quentin all have new skins, accessories and Christmas themed outfits for any unexpected holiday get-togethers!
Even The Guest is getting into the Christmas spirit this year, with a new Santa themed skin! Not sure you’d be too thrilled seeing him come crawling out of your chimney however…

Quentin, The Hunter and Inventor are going to be especially busy this Christmas, with a bunch of new daily quests to complete!

But that’s not all, we’ve been listening to your feedback, bug reports and suggestions and have spent the last couple of months hard at work on improving the game based on what you’ve shared with us since the Halloween update!
Balance changes
The Taxidermist's toy gun now holds 4 bullets, reloads slowly and has a 5-second default cooldown
Brave can break windows and traps with a baseball bat
Bagger now has 150HP
Scout's fully charged shot will slow down instead of dealing a stun
Reduced max damage dealt by item throw to 35
Increased damage buff from milk by 33%
Added slight cooldown to catching after transforming into the Neighbor
Reduced number of traps in Quick Game
Wardrobe changes
Items will no longer spawn in the wardrobes, and players can hide by pressing and holding the “Interact” button.
Inventor talent changes
EXPERT METAL DETECTOR: The last tier will get an additional upgrade → Adds a flashlight to the metal detector.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed issue when daily quests might not progressed or completed
Fixed issue where Ghost might flicker in the Shop
Fixed issue where characters might hold items incorrectly
Fixed a number of regularly reported map exploits
The player is no longer able to join a lobby if he was kicked from it

Brave is not angry anymore or their redhead has been fixed in other words;
Pan got a slight boost with an HP increase from 30 to 50;
Issues with secret doors animation and flying characters have been fixed.

Seems like it’s about to rain: hold on to your umbrellas! Wait, what? We’ve been listening to your feedback, and we did it: you now can glide using an umbrella! Escape from tricky situations in a boo-tiful way or jump higher and move around maps with greater ease and enjoyment.

Thanks to some new internal methods, we've managed to cast away the performance gremlins that used to haunt your gameplay. Get ready for smoother gaming and visuals that will give you goosebumps.
📺UI Modes
Customize your in-match HUD with the new UI modes. Choose from Full, Default, Minimal, or Disabled - whichever helps you keep your cool in the heat of the chase.
👁️Free Spectator Mode
Fancy a different perspective? The new Spectator Mode allows you to fly around the map and watch other players' spine-tingling shenanigans as you see fit.
🌟Leaders' Inspiration
Leaders' Inspiration ability now decreases the time it takes to recover from a knockdown. Those leadership skills just got spookier!
👦Stamina for explorers
Explorers now need to keep an eye on their stamina when throwing items. Deplete all that precious energy, and you won't be able to throw items or sprint for a short while, which is a scenario you don’t want to find yourself in with the Neighbor on your tail…🏃♂️

Get ready to strut your stuff with three new dances and one exciting emote. And remember to dress up with our fresh batch of skins for the ultimate Halloween look!

This summer has been full of surprises, and we want to keep it coming! Are you ready to gather your rescue squad and showcase your camp spirit again?
Take part in the Secret Neighbor "Tales of the Enchanted Forest" community event taking place in our Discord & get your treats as sweet as freshly fried marshmallows. 🏕️
🎵 This event involves two parts, and our first stop is Mythical Melodies Madness. Gather 'round, you sneaky campers, because we're aiming for 300 short videos of you busting out the Secret Neighbor dances and emotes accompanied by your favorite music.
Your moves will shake the Enchanted Forest and summon one of the skins to the Secret Neighbor shop, priced at just one coin!
Rules are simple:
📹 Upload a short video with any dance(s)/emote(s) accompanied by your favorite tune to contest_submissions on our Discord server, one video per person. Don’t forget to keep it short and sweet.
Tell your rescue squad about the event so we can reach our magical number faster.

We've recently had a Q&A session with the developers, and they shared some peculiar news about the upcoming Update. In case you missed it, we gathered some sneak peeks just for you. We also highly recommend staying tuned as we're moving in the direction of being open with you and sharing more in the future. Time to spice it all up! We're adding new paths and obstacles to make forays into the Neighbor's house more exciting and nonlinear.
You'll also meet boarded-up doors, cabinets, and barred windows. A trusty crowbar is your best friend now to be able to open those.
Your creepy Neighbor's message is clear: I don't like you in my house. He is setting new traps! From now on, bear traps, glue on doors, and lasers will be randomly spawned each match in Mr. Peterson's house. Wanna learn some details? If you touch the laser beam, the smoke trap will be triggered, and it can cause a lot of trouble. You can also deactivate it for some time to sneak through the obstacle.
If you're a fan of custom games, don't worry, the selection of the number of blocked doors and traps will be customized in this game mode.
Aside from the teasers of Upcoming Update, we discovered that we might get news about new kid class in the autumn. Sounds quite intriguing, right?
