Patch Notes:

A new legendary animal was added, this time is a Jet Black Great Dane;
A tamed legendary monster was added, first of its kind;
New monsters can be purchased from the Animal Trader in Corpse Harbor;
New items were added to the crafting menu: paths, shelter, barns, storage buildings, premade animal enclosure;
Some melee weapons were adjusted, mostly in size only;
Two new placeable teddybears can be found in the world;
Mushrooms planter was updated;
BUGFiX: When the items required to craft a complex item were spread over multiple stacks, the code failed to remove all the necessary items;
BUGFiX: Shift+click on a weapon into quickbar's previously empty selected slot and closing the inventory right away caused the weapon not to be instanciated;
BUGFiX: Sometimes the codex displayed a blank page after performing the search (it got stuck on the page number of the previous search);
BUGFiX: After using sort inside a container, the animals' gender was sometimes messed up;
BUGFiX: Stereo channels not working corectly (right channel on left channel and vice versa);
BUGFiX: The Sniper Rifle was sometimes wrongly treated by the code as shotgun (the code didn't properly display the total ammo and the ammo left in the magazine);

BUGFiX: The tooltip went out of bounds on items with large description;
BUGFiX: Choosing a non-default arrow, then switching to a different slot, then saving, resets the arrow to the default one;

Player evasion was greatly increased in peaceful mode (only about 1 in 5 hits will connect when attacked by aggressive animals);
Removed unused controls: Find teleport, Call companion, Horse Follow, In-Game Note;
Fixed a bug with the green draconid using the wrong texture;
Fixed a bug with Dom the Great Dane not being able to be cured;
Fixed a bug with log paths not being able to be removed;
Fixed a bug with placeable arid rocks;
Fixed a bug with load module that didn't properly load the settings for bows;
Finally fixed the randomly item drag at the first click after opening the inventory;
Fixed several visual glitches;
Few more containers with harpoon in them were added;

Hello Everybody! After almost 5 years of development, Animallica reached the Beta phase!

Because most of the environment suffered heavy changes, please note that a fresh start is required in order to enjoy a smooth gameplay without major glitches. Also is very important to perform a fresh installation of the game. More than half of the files have been changed and the game will have trouble updating corectly.
New content will still be added during this phase, but our main focus will be bug fixing from now, so please let us know whenever you encounter a bug or glitch (only report bugs encountered in a fresh new save game and a fresh installation).

Patch Notes:

All maps have been revamped with a big focus on interiors and points of interest;
New legendary animals were added;
Dozens of new placeable items were added, including much requested doors;
New weapons were added, including a stun gun (used for tranquilizing animals);
A new option called Auto Capture was added in the game menu. When turned ON, soon as an animal is tranquilized it will go directly into the inventory, avoiding losing it in the grass;
Dozens of old poor looking models were replaced or removed from the game;
Horse controls were adjusted. The horse also received a boost in speed;
Enemy damage has been decreased;
Greatly increased HP and damage for tamed animals like bears, big cats, wolves and attack dogs;
Increased range for some weapons;
New upgrades for weapons were added along with new upgrading materials;
A Tyrannosaurus rex reconstruction can be build once all the fossils have been collected;
Added a green checkbox in the Codex to track animals that the player already obtained;
Great Britain map was removed from creative mode, since it caused us a lot of trouble;
Optimized and improved hundreds of materials and textures;
Adjusted LODs for all creatures for better performance;
Unlock FPS option was added in the main menu;
Updated colliders for many of the placeble items;

An important change was made. Upon death, the player will not drop the entire inventory anymore. Instead, half of the gold coins will be dropped and they can still be retrieved as before by returning to the death location;

BUGFiX: Dragging and dropping a stack of items over a different slot of the same item with full stack, caused the full stack slot to disappear;
BUGFiX: Reset last inventory mouseOver slot index to -1 every time the inventory is opened to prevent random item grabs during opening of the inventory;
BUGFiX: Radial Menu for Arrows got stuck on screen then changing to a non-bow weapon then pressing the arrow menu key;

Please note that currently, the game is incompatible with the new AMD graphics drivers therefore incompatible with most AMD Radeon video cards, but we are struggling to find a solution soon.

Creative Mode was added. The new game mode strips away the survival aspects of Animallica and allows players to easily create large scenes with the help of free and infinite placeble items. In Creative mode, players have no health, stamina, thirst or hunger bar to hamper their building and travel between maps is disabled. All the items can be obtained from the menu we call CODEX;
Four new legendary animals were added. They were named after active members of our comunity;
Several maps were slightly updated;
Several more bounty hunter treasure chests were added;
Added the Shift+Click transfer command for the breeding center;
BUGFiX: The arrow set by the player wasn't properly kept in the save file, causing it to reset to the default one;

-> Addition: A dropdown menu was added to set the autosave interval. Out recommendation is to set autosave on disabled then re-enable it right away and set the time that suits your needs. Also, the autosave will skip that if you have the inventory opened or a container. Keep in mind that autosave is still experimental and it will freeze your game briefly when is reaching the autosave interval.

Starting with this update, animals will be able to breed. To obtain offsprings you will need a breeding center (craftable at the advanced workshop) and a pair of fertile animals (same species/same breed). Each fertile species will recieve at least one rare coat color obtainable only trough breeding. For now, only 13 species are breedable, but the list will increase with each update. Multiple breeding centers can be active at the same time;
Save System improvements were made;
Eight new farms/settlements were added;
New premade enclosures were added;
New animal shelters and decorative items were added;
New treasures were adeed;
New colors for sunset and sunrise were added;
All the tasks can now be completed;

Because a part of the comunity requested a more guided experience, a task system was implemented with about 50 simple missions with a new curency as reward. The new curency can be used to aquire new powerful weapons and new rare animals. The new system could still require some tweeking but with your help hopefully it will work flawlessly soon. The new task system is intended for new players, to guide them through the story and all the areas. The other players can still experience it but some of the quests will be already completed. This being said, Animallica remains a full sandbox game, meaning you can still tackle it in ay way you want, set your own pace and objectives.
Thirty new loading screens were added, explaining the background of most of the enemies and named NPCs in the game.
New weapons were added: Anti-Material Rifle and Tranquilizer Rifle.
The halloween pumpkins were removed and a Christmas tree was added in Arpashi.
The old Red Deer was retextured and is now a White-tailed deer.
A new Red Deer was added.
Red deer calf was added.
Nine new colors for Arabian Horse were added.
Two new colors for Grey Wolf were added.
Two new colors for Roe Deer were added.
Three new legendary animals were added: Alaskan Tundra Wolf, Steppe Wolf and Black rabicano Arabian Horse.
Some maps were updated with new points of interest.
Some items were renamed.
Some prices and recipes were adjusted.
Sleep interface was updated.
Several improvements for ranged enemies were made.
Fixed a problem with creature's dead animation;
Weapons like bows and crossbow now remeber the last type of arrow used.
You can now mine only by holding the mouse button.
Fixed a problem with Sarcophagus animations.

BUGFIXES:

Death with the inventory opened caused the player controller to be locked on respawn.
Fixed the Pick Up item command that allowed the players to pick the fired arrows right away with Alt+G.
When using Shift+Click on Gold Coin item from a Container, the gold coin amount wasn't visually updated properly.
Item quantity wasn't properly updated when transfering stackable items from the inventory to the quick bar.
The description of some items didn't fit the shop panel description area.
Corpses were not properly aligned with terrain.
Gardening Beds sometimes received an empty seed information, causing the bed to completely vanish.
Crafting with elements from char panel caused the tactical gloves to vanish.

Animallica Alpha v 4.0 is here!

For start we have to specify that this is the first half of a two parts update. The second half will arrive in about a week and will include several new maps, a lot of new animals, ranged enemies and more lore. To experience the entire new feel of the game, a fresh game is highly recommended after these two patches, even though the old save files should still work properly.
We apologize for the long wait, but is was time to make several drastic changes to the game.

Patch Notes:

The combat system was completely remade; All weapons received new and better animations;

The inventory system was completely remade for better functionality and look;

A new safe map was added: Aleria;

Three new legendary animals were added;

Several cool new weapons were added: dual katanas, saw launcher, revolver, dual pistols, new shotgun;

An energy bar was added for melee weapons (used for power attack and fast combos);

A status bar was added on screen, permanently showing the amount of contamination left on the current map. Clearing all the enemy nests and contamination barrels from a map will clense the area from all signs of infection.

Some models were updated or replaced;

All maps were updated;

Added get hit animations for most of the creatures;

The maltese and caspain tigers are now named, legendary animals;

A Journal belonging to Dr. Mors can be now found somewhere in Nova;

Most of the enemy nests were replaced so you'll have to clean them again in an old save;

Added a command for pick all nearby droped items (default Alt + G).

Syringes that fully restore health or stamina were added;

New items were added;

Some recipes were updated;

The Landscapist is now selling several bonsai species;

The Mad Man received a facelift. He also is paying 25% more for your items now;

Armor rating was increased;

Spears and knives can now longer be used as weapons for now. You can always sell them;

Increased speed for the save/load system;

Fixed a bug with companions duplicating;

Animallica Alpha v 2.8 is live!

Patch Notes:

All the mutant spawners and spawns were replaced;

A flame thrower is now required to remove the mutant nests/contamination sites;

Peaceful mode without any mutants or mutant spawners was added (only available when starting a new game);

A new animal was added: Merino Sheep;

A new surprise animal was added;

Over a dozen of new mobs were added;

Inventory was expanded with 30 slots;

A Christmas Tree and gifts were added in Arpashi. We apologize for the delay, the update took longer than we expected;

Most of the structures now remove the grass underneath when placed;

New destroyable barrels with random loot inside were added;

Dorado, Cultsberg and Highrose were updated;

Combat was slightly improved;

Notes:

Flamethrowers can be found in the starting facility and Land Base bunker or bought from Corpse Harbor Trader;

A "tool" for removing grass without placing an actual structure can be bought from Corpse Harbor;

The mobs in Land Base should only attack the player and ignore any animals you might have there;

Purple-black slime should not be found in the game anymore and we will update the Mad Man trader soon;

More spawners will be added in the next updates;
