Fixed a problem with one of the tutorial buttons.
Hello Everyone! Besides the embarrassing miss of the last update (which was originally supposed to be published in April of 2023!) things have been quiet in the Mythlink world. Given the state of things, there is an important announcement I would like to make around the pricing o
(This announcement was supposed to go live Apr 30, 2023 but was mistakenly held in a draft state-sorry!) Could it be? A new Mythlink announced out of the blue?! Well, not really, no. Duro is an honorary member of the Mythlink family, but is not truly a Mythlink himself. Which is
No April Fools prank this year, instead just some new unlockable content in Mythlink, available now! That's right, after last month's addition of Steam community content to the game, it was time to round out the rest of the release and push out one more key piece of digital bling
Added 15 Steam Achievements
New Steam update! This time around it's not about game content though, instead it's time to take some steps to integrate all of the neat features Steam has into Mythlink! If you read the release blog, you may have noticed that one of the "Level 1 Priority" adjustments was to add
Fixed a bug with the error message not showing up for certain screens when the game is run without VR...for real this time.
Updated the "VR Required" screen to support more resolutions
It’s that time once more, a quick retrospective on how last year went and what’s on the docket for the upcoming year! 2022 On this post last year, I was hoping to have had release the paid version of Mythlink, start a “fierce” marketing campaign, enter competitions, conventions,
That's right! After what, 5 years of development and then 2 (or was it 3?) tentative releases, Mythlink has finally been released! At a discounted launch price of $8.99 (normal price $9.99) the latest independently created VR game can be yours! The Full Retail Release of Mythlink
Just a quick post here to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who voted in the Indie DB indie of the year contest. Thanks to your support, Mythlink was voted as #10 best upcoming indie! Even reaching the top 100 completely smashed my expectations, but reaching the top 10 has left
It's that special time of year again, my friends you see. Now gather 'round, so you may hear my decree. The Mythlink release date is announced for all to behold. And this time for real. Believe it! Tenfold! "But why should we trust this time around?" you cry. A fair response, I c
Welcome to a very special edition of the blog! Today I've got a call to action. I'm super happy to announce that Mythlink has made it to the finals (top 100) of the Indie DB Indie Game of the Year competition! HUGE thank you to everyone who voted in round one to get us this far.
Last month was a tough one with the delay of Mythlink's full release, but that doesn't mean the efforts have stopped! As mentioned in the last update, this month was focused primarily on the branding and visual appeal of the game through various storefronts. Let's start with the
Addressing the elephant in the room right off the bat, it's a bummer about the delay. No news yet about the next release date target. To give a sense of scope, I am pretty committed to prevent this effort going beyond May of 2023 unless I decide to take some big steps not current
"If you release this game as is, it will fail." A difficult thing to hear for a project you've worked so hard on for so long. Difficult, but necessary as well. As I sat on a call with a professional game marketer just 10 days before a release I had long been looking forward to, m
The last monthly blog post before the 1.0 release, just two weeks to go! What better way to get the hype train started than with a whole slew of marketing materials? The only question is where to start... Let's go with trailers! Two new trailers are available now for your viewing
