An Overdue Greeting Long time no chat. I've been keeping my head down since the 1.0 launch of Gunlocked 2, staying busy with work, but it's time to reemerge and talk about the state of things now and to come! As I've mentioned before, I've had to shift priorities away from my own
Continuing with some small performance boosts as I zero in on any late game trouble makers now that double the power is available to players. Made some optimizations to how the "allied outlines" shader is handled in-game. Note: If you do have performance issues late game with bom
This update fixes a few issues related to bombs. Most importantly, a memory leak related to the Shock Bomb weapon. This issue could be quickly exacerbated by the new power scaling in the 1.0 update. Bombs are a slow-to-start build that can become really powerful, and as such, not
Fixed an issue that prevented the Backdraft's symbionic from unlocking, related to the recent utility overhaul.
I made substantial changes to upgrades and mouse controls in the 1.0 patch, and I didn’t catch every edge case issue that cropped. There’s still some stuff I’m looking into, but these were the most pressing. Balance Shock Bombs now start with 4 bombs, up from 3. The bombs travel
Couple quick fixes for launch day. Fixed the version numbering so it properly reads 1.00.01 (was literally unplayable) The "Capped Off" anomaly now correctly limits to 4 stacks, and not 2
Patch 1.0 Notes We Have Liftoff... Today marks the launch of 1.0 for Gunlocked 2. After nearly 2 years of work (off and on), and 1 year from the Kickstarter, it has reached a place that I'm finally happy with. This update is massive, and literally game changing, but before I jump
Fixed a bug that would prevent certain boss attacks from damaging players when using any of the alternate ships.
Just a quick update to fix the "Critical Mass" achievement. It should now properly unlock on the main branch.
Intro If you’ve been eagerly awaiting new toys to play with, or you’re just struggling to get your 1st victory, this update has something for everyone. But first a note on the current roadmap: There was originally going to be a few more weapons, Symbionics, and utilities in this
Intro This patch took a bit longer than I had hoped, for technical and personal reasons, but progress has been accelerating over the past couple of weeks, and I'm excited to jump right in and begin work on what comes next. This update lets you unlock 5 new ships to play with. The
Overview So here we are, on the raggedy edge. This is the final countdown. Where we're going, we don't need roads. Gunlocked 2 is entering its final phase of development, but there's still a lot to come. So what's left, and when will it happen? As of right now, I've divided my in
This is a small but significant update. The engine I use has received a major update after a long delay. This has resulted in a few things that needed to be fixed, to be compatible with the new version, but also some small performance gains. If you experience any issues with this
Hope everyone had a nice end of year. I took a bit to recharge, but was still mostly working behind the scenes. I just saw some bug reports, and thought I'd address those, and what else is going on real quick-like. The engine I use recently received a long overdue update that bro
Happy holidays everyone! I wanted to make sure I had one more nice thing for you all before the new year. Gunlocked 2 also made it into IndieDB's top 100 indie games of the year! Voting for the top 10 is still going for 2 more days, so if you've been loving the game, feel free to
Couple more fixes related to the anomaly-based achievements Fixed an issue that could allow the achievements Anomalous and Astronomalous to be unlocked from a victory without the correct anomaly scores Fixed an issue causing the anomaly "Capped Off" to grant less multiplier than
Couple quick fixes, nothing major. Hope everyone is enjoying the update. More soon! Tempest’s skill text has been restored in the main menu (whoops) The 1337 anomaly is now properly disabled in Turbo mode
Patch 0.60 – Beyond Infinity Welcome to forever! Today’s update is another big one, possibly the biggest. I’ve said that a couple times, but It’s hard to compare. There’s a lot here, either way. This is also the start of Bullet Heaven Fest, and to celebrate both things, Gunlocked
Wait, weren’t we just at patch 0.42.00? Yes, but don’t worry, I'm not skimping out. When I created my original roadmap, before launching Gunlocked 2, I had a list of every piece of content, and the order I planned to release it in. But as they say, “A plan is just a list of thing
