Developer posts and news about this game.
A long, long time ago, there was a Giratakel that told you about Ultakia. It crawled happily across the sand dunes of game development and told you all about it. And then it crawled over a high dune, and then, yes, then it dove down, and what followed was a long silence, until no
Hello (soon-to-be) world devourers, I would like to announce that Ultakia will be participating in #TurnBasedThursdayFest from March 9, 2026, to March 23, 2026! And to celebrate, there will also be a first open playtest where you can all try out the game for free. That's right, t
Hello (soon-to-be) world devourers, First of all, I have to tell you that I had to change the name of my game again, and since two name changes in such a short period of time are quite unusual, I would like to explain the reasons behind it in more detail. Originally, the game was
Hello (soon-to-be) world devourers, And as promised in Part 9, I would now like to (finally) give a brief insight into spaceships and explain how they are linked to resource production and the rest of the economy. But do you even want to build spaceships? Well, why not, is the an
Hello (soon-to-be) world devourers, Now that we've covered the basics of the economy, it's time to think outside the box and see what else we can do with the resources we've produced, besides just producing more and more. The most prominent example is certainly spaceships, but I
Hello (soon-to-be) world devourers, I have now written seven texts in which I have always pretended that resources can only ever increase. Iron is mined to produce more iron, which is used to mine copper and titanium, and then even more iron and wood, and so on. But what if that
Hello (soon-to-be) world devourers, today, I would like to add energy and manufacturing to the economic overview. First of all, energy. All production buildings consume energy. Each mine consumes 1 energy, each extractor also consumes 1 energy, and upgrades consume even more. (Un
Hello (soon-to-be) world devourers, In the last economic overview, I began explaining citizen satisfaction and its influence on the player's production values. Today, I would like to add the two remaining major influencing factors: the political orientation of the individual and
Hello (soon-to-be) world devourers, At the end of the third part of the economic overview, I had presented an ominous calculation in which the 7 iron that our mine delivered at level 3 (both times upgraded with the overclocking branch) on the mountain tile suddenly became 10.5 ir
Hello (soon-to-be) world conquerors. Before we begin, let me briefly summarise the previous three parts. We have laboriously gathered the resources for the field, then constructed the building and learned that we can upgrade it. However, we are still not producing anything on the
Hello (soon-to-be) world conquerors In the last part of the economic overview, we constructed a simple building, and I calculated that 10 iron would be required to build a mine (assuming it is located on a tile that requires iron rather than titanium for construction). And now, o
Hello (soon-to-be) world conquerors In the previous part of the economic overview, I told you how you can buy tiles. So now we have a tile, but what next? The answer is to build a building. The only question now is which one. Before I get to that, however, one thing should be not
Hello (soon-to-be) world conquerors Today, I would like to try to give you a better understanding of Entrotria's economy. The ultimate goal is clear: producing more and stronger spaceships than your opponents in order to conquer them and win the game. But before we get to that, l
Hello (upcoming) world devourers, I have recently worked on some graphical improvements, as you can see on the store page. Probably the most significant change is in the resource bar (top) and the menu bar (left), which now not only match the rest of the style better, but also gl
