Call of the Beast
Celebrate the first anniversary of Dying Light: The Beast with our special "Call of the Beast: 1st Anniversary Edition" event! Running for three weeks from September 21st, this event invites the community to unite (or compete) by completing weekly global goals and earning exciting rewards. Enjoy a kick-off 2XP Weekend from September 18th to get the anniversary festivities started.
Throughout the event, join the community in achieving shared goals, while participating in weekly votes that shape how you target your enemies. Your choices will influence unique gameplay modifiers for the weekend, affecting how battles unfold in Castor Woods. Jump in, contribute to the global goal, and cast your vote to shape the adventure ahead! For more details, visit the Outpost event page.
Players can also enjoy new challenges like tougher enemies and rare Bober Infected spawns for an added thrill. Don't miss your chance to redeem special Anniversary rewards via the Outpost page. Join the fun and see if you and your fellow players can achieve the Global Community Goal each week!
Crane’s Anniversary Drops
Celebrate with "Crane’s Anniversary Drops" and unleash the Beast! Running parallel to the Call of the Beast Anniversary Event, this 21-day web-based reward calendar on the Outpost Web Hub starts on September 21st.
Log in daily to unlock a variety of rewards, from in-game dockets and store points to festive weapon skins with blueprints and more. If you forget to claim a reward on the day it unlocks you can catch up at any time before October 19th at 2:00 PM CEST. After this deadline unclaimed rewards will be permanently unavailable.
Visit daily for surprises and exclusive items, and make sure to claim your rewards before they're gone!
Game Updates
Along with the event, Update 1.7 introduced the following fixes and improvements to the game:

Fixed an issue where assets sometimes weren't destroyed in Race Challenges, blocking pathing and slowing the player down

Hotfix 1.6.3 just rolled onto the servers, so make sure to update the game!
Here are the list of fixes and tweaks:
Added the Fast Travel feature - now players will be able to do so from a completed safe zone or hub. To fast travel to a different location, players need to interact with a dedicated Castor Woods map located in all eligible locations.
Added a toggle to Survival settings (i.e., depleting flashlight and hunger meter) in Restored Land. The setting is now off by default and can be enabled in the menu. Added two new Restored Land leaderboards to ensure fair score comparisons.
Fixed the issue with Suicider sometimes not exploding when hit twice in a row with certain weapons
Fixed the issue with Beast Modes actions not always dealing damage to enemies while playing NG+
Fixed the issue when the Player is unable to pick up quest item (Infected Gallbladder) if Consumables inventory is full with certain items
Fixed the issue when area with very low threat level might become restored after sleep
Fixed the issue with Taurus Gas Station in Villa Area might not be completed upon first visit
Fixed the issue with estimated position always showing the result one below of what is shown on leaderboard when data is updated
Survivors are less likely to spawn close to infected when region is safe in Restored Land
Fixed the issue with Virals and Volatiles clipping through the car's roof when falling from it
Viral reinforcements will no longer come after generating noise on safe regions when playing Restored Land
Fixed an issue with the Player receiving duplicate starter gear from Olivia during NG+

Here are the list of fixes and tweaks:

Reduced hunger drain when sleeping
Slower overall hunger depletion
“Very Hungry” and “Famished” states now trigger later
Vendors now offer improvised food bars
Weapon Blueprints from DLC bundles can now be upgraded to Legendary rarity
When receiving a new weapon during a cutscene with a full inventory, the lowest-quality weapon is automatically moved to the stash
If both inventory and stash are full, the lowest-quality weapon is dropped on the ground
“Better Be Safe” and “Peace Bringer” achievements no longer auto-complete
Night chases rebalanced – Level 1 chases are now slightly easier to escape
Increased chances to loot rags and bandages from Biters and Virals
Fixed the crossplay connection between Steam and Epic
Fixed the issue with amount of ammo that the Player can loot from ranged human enemies being capped

Restored Land is the definitive Dying Light: The Beast experience: a brutal, solo journey where the world reacts to your every move! These new rules mean that resources are finite, and every decision carries the weight of permanent consequence as you face the ultimate zombie apocalypse.
New rules of survival:
Restore the Land: For the first time ever, turn the tide. Killed infected do not respawn, allowing you to fully cleanse regions and mark freshly-cleared areas on the game map.
Manage Resources: Looted items are no longer replaced and shops offer reduced stock at higher prices. Supplies must be carefully managed, stretching your resource management skills to the max.
Permanent World Progression: Benefit from your bravery. High-risk activities such as Convoys, Dark Zones, and Hives need only be completed once to be permanently cleared.
Survival Mechanics: Limited materials and food means you must manage hunger and replace depleted flashlight batteries.
One Life: An optional mode that introduces full permadeath for the ultimate ‘no second chance’ challenge. When death truly means death, how long will you last in the apocalypse?
New rewards & challenges:
Roadkill Rallies: Competitive car challenges focused on incredible zombie-killing opportunities and optimizing your routes through the open world.
Friends Leaderboards: Track your performance in both Restored Land and Roadkill Rallies to compete against friends for the top spot.
High-Risk Encounters: Face deadlier species of infected for significantly greater rewards.
Expansive New Content: 36 new quest encounters, seven new achievements, and new brutal finishers.

Restored Land - survival like never before
Explore an exhilarating new experience with Restored Land - revolution of survival in Castor Woods. Available through a dedicated section in the main menu, this solo-only experience offers gameplay on Survivor or Brutal difficulty levels. You’ll navigate a persistent world where enemies remain defeated and loot can only be collected once, highlighting the heightened tension of every heart-pounding decision.
In Restored Land, open-world activities such as Convoys, Dark Zones, and Hives can be completed only once. To keep a clear track of your progress you can use special map markers. The Regions Threat Levels on the map empower you to strategize in reclaiming areas, clearing them of enemies and paving the way for remaining survivors so they can start revitalizing the region. Survival mechanics like hunger and flashlight management add an extra layer of challenge, while inventory limits require you to gather funds for specialized backpack upgrades from in-game vendors.
Manage the nighttime difficulty by clearing Hives to reduce numbers of the roaming Volatiles, but be careful as the Alpha Volatile will still hunt you during the nights. To help you a little with your task, we hid two items that might just bring you back from the brink. If you want the ultimate challenge, you can intensify your Restored Land experience with One Life Mode, where each death resets your journey! Check leaderboards to measure your survival days in Restored Land and unlock seven new achievements as you progress. Engage in dynamic and refined battles against special infected, and uncover over 30 new random quest encounters with enhanced rewards - and that’s also available in the regular game mode!
Completing Restored Land rewards players with an exceptional outfit accessible across all save files. Those who conquer Restored Land with the One Life challenge are granted an additional outfit, receive special recognition in co-op play, and uncover unique surprises within Town Hall. Numerous gameplay and performance improvements ensure this immersive experience tests your skills in the relentless world of Restored Land. Dive in and navigate the ultimate challenge, where the world itself becomes a visceral reflection of danger and desperation. Are you ready to emerge victorious?
Roadkill Rallies
Update 1.6 expands the action with the introduction of Roadkill Rallies - five new racing challenges, offering time-based missions that test your skills in eliminating infected and perfecting your driving routes. To win gold in each race, you must kill a specific number of infected and reach the finish line within the time limit. Each track has its own theme; some feature threats like Suiciders, but in all of them, finding the optimal route is key to winning gold. The challenges introduce a new car model, the Roadkiller - a tougher vehicle that you can unlock by earning gold in every race in this series. Did we mention you can compete against each other?
New feature - Leaderboards
Track your performance in both Restored Land mode and the new Roadkill Rallies, and see how you stack up against others:
Friends Leaderboards - Players can track their performance in both Restored Land mode and Roadkill Rallies, and compare their results with friends.
Global Leaderboards (Consoles Only) - Additionally, on consoles we also introduce global leaderboards for both Restored Land mode and Roadkill Rallies. We decided to implement them only on consoles to help ensure fair competition, as the current client-only PC implementation does not allow global rankings to be fully protected from potential exploits.
Gameplay Tweaks and new finishers
With resources drastically limited, players experience solitude as they navigate shops with reduced stocks at higher prices. XP is increased to counterbalance the rare enemy encounters, while player levels cap at 15. Hunger must be managed, and flashlight batteries replaced, to avoid succumbing to exhaustion and darkness, where the fear of making one wrong move heightens anxiety. Moreover we’ve added 5 new brutal Fury finishers for special infected:
Banshee
Charger
Demolisher
Goon
Volatile
UI Enhancements
Enhancements come with a fresh perspective: explore a specialized entry in the main menu, thematic loading screens, and updated death and completion screens that match the emotional intensity of your journey. An improved HUD, accompanied by personal map markers, offers valuable assistance in exploration and resource gathering - tools for those facing solitude and danger head-on. Additionally we've added a ping system for co-op play that allows players to quickly mark locations and improve communication during shared gameplay.
